Fred Dalla-Lana is internationally recognized as one of Canada's leading architects. Throughout his career, his work has integrated architectural excellence, innovation, and sustainable design, and has contributed to raising the standards of contemporary architecture and urbanism, in Canada and abroad. For this work, he is the recipient of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada's Gold Medal (1997).
Born and raised in London, UK, Mr.Dalla-Lana earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in 1968. He worked in London before co-founding DGBK Architects, which later became Dplus. Since then Mr.Dalla-Lana's leadership and commitment to architectural excellence has been influential in establishing Dplus as one of Canada's premiere architectural practices, and recipient of numerous awards for design excellence. Mr.Dalla-Lana's diverse portfolio encompasses cultural, civic, educational, hospitality, healthcare, and performing arts projects across North America as well as in Asia.

Gregory Dowling is a founder of D Plus Architects. His portfolio of nationally and internationally recognized projects has won numerous awards from prestigious institutions and associations.
Over the years, he has played an integral role in the internationalization of Dplus and he remains a driving force behind the vision of expanding the practice's global impact. During 44 years at Dplus, he has cultivated a wide spectrum of international experience, including expertise in cultural, hospitality, healthcare, commercial and educational architecture and master planning. Greg oversees the practice's design profile, ensuring the quality of competition proposals and maintaining architectural standards in subsequent planning.
Mr. Dowling's portfolio stands as a testament to his versatility. He has worked on Fairmont Empress hotel, Canada's most heritage hotel; Granville island, the world's most successful urban renewal project turning an abandoned industrial island into a world attraction that receives more than 12 million visitors per year. Su Zhou Industry Park and China Medical City, China's most successful industry parks. Whistler Resort, one of the world's best ski resorts. As the chief planner, Greg helped Shanghai successfully won the right to hold the 2010 Expo.
Mr. Dowling is also a highly sought public speaker at universities in Canada and abroad, and he regularly sits on the juries of international competitions.

He has played a critical leadership role since merging his former Studio, KDA Architects, with Dplus in 1992, and has made a fundamental and influential contribution to Dplus' ability to consistently design and deliver architectural excellence. Patrick offers over 40 years of proven, successful experience in the design, management, and delivery of projects distinguished for the integration of high-quality design and sustainability.
Patrick focuses on building better cities through quality urban developments that channel the best aspects of their site and program into architectural and public realm designs. Over the past 48 years, he has built a diverse award-winning portfolio of complex, variously scaled urban high-rise and mixed-use developments in cities across Canada and the United States. An architect dedicated to crafting elegant urban buildings and inspiring public spaces, Patrick believes successful development solutions start with a collaborative, design-oriented approach.
