I have worked in the education sector for over 10 years, first becoming involved in governance when my children's infant school needed a clerk to the governing body. I get an immense amount of satisfaction working with such dedicated staff and volunteers at EMAT.
I know that good governance has a direct and positive impact on those working and learning within the trust and I am committed to ensuring that our governance #EMATters team is as effective as it can be when supporting and challenging its schools.

I've worked in communications across a wide range of public and private sector organisations for more than 25 years, and over that time I've developed a diverse range of skills and knowledge.
This experience includes award-winning media relations, marketing communications, social media and digital development, crisis communications and internal and stakeholder communications. My public sector background includes specialising in several different portfolios including public health, social care and customer services, as well as children's services and education. Plus I've worked with community and voluntary organisations as well as supported SMEs with their PR and marketing goals.
Although currently I work primarily with NIA, I'm lucky to work across all of the #EMATter schools in one way or another, which means I get to experience the variety and excellence each has to offer.

I have over 26 years' experience of working within HR in a variety of sectors including NHS, manufacturing, civil engineering, IT and digital marketing.
I have worked at a strategic level with key stakeholders to include succession planning, employee engagement, development of people strategies, delivering training and have also managed large change management programmes. I have managed small teams which has also included managing in-house payroll. I have a keen interest in employee wellbeing and employee engagement.
I am married, have 3 rescue cats, and have a keen interest in fitness, particularly CrossFit and competing in Triathlons.

As a full member of the Charted Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP), I am dedicated to ensuring employees are paid accurately, on time and securely.
I am passionate about payroll and the strategic value it can provide. I have worked in both bureau and in-house payroll settings and having worked in payroll for eight years, I pride myself on understanding employee's needs, providing high levels of service, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and I relish the challenges of complying with rapidly evolving payroll legislation.
I joined EMAT in 2019 and led the Trust's project to bring the payroll in-house, creating and implementing a new payroll system and helping employees understand their pay and pensions.

I have worked as a senior leader in the education sector for over 18 years. I started my career as an IT professional in the corporate sector over 24 years ago.
As Head of Shared Services, I am responsible for IT, estates and the procurement teams within the trust. I am passionate in bringing professionalism and strategic planning to IT, estates and procurement and ensuring that everything we do is linked to our strategic aims of operational excellence, educational excellence and embodying our #EMATters ethos, ultimately ensuring that ‘every child deserves to be the best they can be'.

I have been a teacher since 1988 and have worked in a variety of schools from a small rural middle school to large city comprehensives. I enjoyed a range of responsibilities in both departmental and pastoral roles before taking on my first leadership position in 2004. I progressed to being Headteacher of that school, then took on the headship of a larger school in 2011, before becoming Headteacher at Prince William in 2017.
I love the fact that I get to work with the most amazing people every day and I am inspired by both the students and the staff. I'm a Senior Data Analyst with over eight years of experience in banking, business analysis, and data analytics.
At EMAT, I focus on creating interactive dashboards that facilitate data-driven decisions in the educational sector. My expertise lies in BI tools such as PowerBi, Tableau and Qlik Sense, and I have a strong foundation in SQL and data modelling.
My career journey has been marked by significant milestones, including speaking at the Future Identity Festival 2022 and collaborating with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport on the Digital Identity Trust Framework. Academically, I hold an MSc in Management Information Technology Systems from the University of Strathclyde and a BSc in Computer Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University.
Beyond my professional life, I am passionate about playing basketball, traveling, swimming and cooking.

I am passionate about education and committed to helping our pupils be the best they can be.
I've been privileged in my career to work in a variety of education roles. I have been a teacher, a headteacher, a local authority adviser, senior lecturer in education, and immediately prior to joining EMAT, was a His Majesty's Inspector with Ofsted for five years. All of these roles help me in my current work.
I'm extremely proud to be EMAT's Head of Education, working closely with the pupils, staff, leaders and governors of our wonderful community of schools. I've worked in the education sector for over 18 years looking after facilities and maintenance of schools in both UK and Europe.
With hands on experience of most aspects of the buildings fabric and upkeep, I am Health and Safety NEBOSH National General Certificate qualified and NEBOSH Fire and Risk Management qualified, as well as a qualified PSV Transport manager.
