Eric Brown, our founder, grew up in a home where craft and hard work were praised. Watching his grandfather painstakingly work as a carpenter making sure that things were always done right and learning the importance of precision and watching his mother and father have an extreme work ethic and generous care for people - he developed the characteristics that lead his business today. Upon high school graduation, Eric packed up his life and moved to attend the University of Minnesota, working his way through school to graduate debt free, a distinctive liberal arts graduate studying architectural and design from one of the nations top programs. Eric moved into corporate America after graduation, working for the world leader of bike design. Working for Trek for 10 years, Eric learned best business practices, supply and demand, quality assurance, and customer service. Eric launched Everett Custom Homes in 2007 and many homes later, customers in the Charlotte area and surrounding areas are thrilled that Eric took the leap of faith to do what what he loved.
Eric Brown (Everett Custom Homes) was chosen for this project over three other bidding contractors. Eric was easy to work with. He was very helpful, even before he won the bid, by guiding us through some of the necessary requirements needed to meet North Carolina engineering codes with our out-of-state architectural plans. His honesty, work ethic and easy manner made the entire build project less stressful than our last two home builds. Eric has continued to be very responsive, even after the project was complete. Eric tore down my old home, found me an architect to draw up plans for the new home and built the new house. It took about a year and he was entirely courteous, professional and easy to work with. He came in on schedule and budget. Building a home is stressful and Eric makes it as easy as it can get!
