Dr. Ruth Ann Butler keeps current by completing hundreds of hours of education courses. She received the prestigious fellowship Award during the Academy of Dentistry's Convocation ceremony on July 19th, 2008. Gaining a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry is one of the few added distinctions a general dentist can achieve. The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is the only professional association serving the general dentist.
To earn Fellowship in the AGD, the dentist must take more than 500 hours of educational courses in various disciplines and pass a rigorous exam. The Fellowship Award is presented to dentists looking to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession. Dr. Butler is one of the only 7 percent of general dentists to have achieved this honor. The Fellowship Award symbolizes excellence in dental work and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
