Ben Gladwell

Job Titles:
  • Financial Adviser
Anybody who knows Ben will tell you he listens more than he speaks. That's because he understands that no two clients are the same, and only by listening can he know what is important to them so he can create the right financial plan for each. Ben is a serial planner and problem solver who combined these traits with his interest in investing to start a career as a financial advisor. He has never looked back after traversing a varied career with large and small firms, topped off with mentoring new advisers. His first career was in journalism, which gave him the skills to explain complex concepts in easy-to-understand terms. It's a valuable skill that allows him to deliver easy-to-understand advice to his clients, particularly in his specialist areas of insurance and KiwiSaver. Outside of work, Ben is married with two energetic boys. He enjoys the mental and physical challenges he gets from competing in triathlons (swim, cycle and run) and, coming from a sailing family, he has competed in many off-shore races, including Sydney-Hobart and the Fastnet Classic. If you're looking for sound financial advice, particularly about your KiwiSaver and insurance, talk to Ben about why it is your most under-utilised tool for financial success.
