Locally owned and operated by Ellicott City resident Paula Carr Dwyer, Georgia Grace Café is the only restaurant of its kind in EC... Paula's restaurant journey began before she even had the idea to open a café! Paula grew up in a close-knit Greek family to immigrant parents. Her father, Constantine Caravasos (aka Dino Carr) was a restaurateur in Washington, DC. Her mother, Georgia, a stay at home mom when Paula and her sister were small, operated her own hair salon in the basement of their Silver Spring home and cooked and baked every day. "Everything Mom made was from scratch. We didn't have anything processed in our home and the majority of our food originated from amazing recipes from my great grandmothers and grandmothers."... From my mother Georgia, the matriarch of my family, to her youngest grandchild, my daughter Grace...We continue to pass the love of cooking our food for others.
