As founder and CEO of Granite Legal Systems, Jeff Hewett has expertise in developing, implementing and supporting technology solutions for top companies in the industry. His 20 year career in the legal industry includes systems selection and implementation projects, customized litigation systems development and large scale discovery project management. Jeff has extensive experience identifying cost effective technical solutions for difficult discovery problems. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional and has authored several litigation support articles and product reviews.
Mike Voran manages complex technical projects for large scale litigation and client regulatory compliance projects His projects include complex data pipelines to manage data discovery requests from 10,000+ plaintiffs in orthopedic device litigation. coordination with external legal team and client manufacturing facilities in USA, Europe and China to generate discovery responses and building a novel website using Django to deliver self-service discovery responses to plaintiffs.
Additionally, Mike has been lead PM and data architect for in-house Azure database review and redaction system. Mike built use cases, design review workflows and create data models to support system specifications.
In a regulatory and compliance support project, Mike audited 2.5 years of medical records submissions to the FDA. Audit responsibilities included conducting root cause analysis, creating CAPA (corrective and preventive action plan) and remediating deficient FDA submissions.
Mike earned his JD from University of Minnesota Law School and his BA from Rice University.
Shawn Edwards has over 30 years of experience in technology and 18 years of experience in managing complex litigation and litigation support projects. She specializes in strategic planning and management of large eDiscovery projects and developing appropriate litigation database solutions. Her expertise includes data reconciliation, design and maintenance of litigation support systems and electronic discovery systems.
She has a demonstrated ability in creating more effective departments by identifying workflow efficiencies, enhancing the quality of work product and controlling expenses. Prior to joining Granite Legal Systems, Shawn served as Chief Operations Officer for a regional litigation support vendor and Senior Project Manager with Baker Robbins & Company.
Shawn earned her JD from South Texas College of Law, her BA from the University of West Florida and is admitted to the Texas Bar.
