You can stop reading now if that's all you need, but if you want the real story, here it is... A lot of years ago, more than 25 of them, I was in a unique situation. I had one-year old twins that had special needs and I had a full-time job. Due to the twins' special needs, they required a lot of attention. That meant I was away from my job more than I was there. It wasn't fair to my employer, so I resigned. Figuring it was going to be easy to raise the twins and work from home, I started a Virtual Assistant company. (Side note: It wasn't easy.) At the time, I was told that working from home via the internet was never going to work and that the idea of freelance administrative work would never be accepted (remember . . . over two decades ago).
