Dr. Heid Haislip completed a bachelor's degree with a major in microbiology and a minor in English and a medical degree and residency in rural family medicine at Dalhousie University in Halifax, N.S. Canada. She has been a family physician since 1996. She worked in Canada for 9 years, in Lancaster Texas (just south of Dallas) for 7 years. She worked in Madill, Ok for almost 10 years and has just recently moved to Wewoka, OK.
Her special interests include mental health, hospice, geriatrics, and pediatrics. She has worked in a rural mental health clinic 1- 2 days a month for the last 9 years, also.
She has 2 amazing children: Hunter 18, who just jointed the US Navy and Holly 17, a Junior in High school. She has been married to the love of her life, John Haislip since 1999.

He graduated with honors from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and has more than 32 years of experience including, Urgent Care, Emergency Room Care, Occupation medicine and family practice. He has received awards for excellent work in the Family Practice field, which include: Patients' Choice Award (2008, 2009).

Her higher education includes Bachelors Degree at Oklahoma Wesleyan in 2009 and University and her Masters at Maryville University in 2016.
Karis A. Rodriguez MSN, APRN, of the Rural Health Clinic, obtained her BSN from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma and practiced as an RN in the Emergency Department. She obtained her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Maryville University out of St. Louis, Missouri. Her experience as Family Nurse Practitioner includes urgent care, occupational medicine, and family medicine. She also obtained a post master's certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner through Oklahoma City University expanding her ability to practice in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Mike Gibson, PA-C, family medicine, is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Physician Associate program. He has been serving the health care needs of families in Holdenville since 2008. Mike graduated from Putnam City High School and served in the U.S. Navy. Mike brings to Holdenville General Hospital his experience in a wide range of health care settings including emergency, cardiology and urology specialty practices.
