Horizon Services, originally named Horizon House, has been serving the Bay Area for more than 40 years. Our first program opened in 1976 with a $17,500 contract from Alameda County, which allowed us to establish sober living support services for men reentering the workforce... Our clinical staff is overseen by our Clinical Services Department, which provides individual and group supervision and consultation to our programs. Program and administrative staff are trained and evaluated on an ongoing basis to increase our competency in the standards of care areas. All this experience means we are able to help all kinds of people recover from substance use disorder and determine what level of care and array of support services each person needs to start a life of recovery...
