John Sartain is the Founder, Owner and Managing Director of Hospitality Resource Solutions. An ex-Hotel General Manager with more than 30 years of international, hotelier experience, John has successfully operated quality hotels in both the United Kingdom and across Asia.
A Permanent Resident in Singapore, John directed both the Grand Copthorne Waterfront and the iconic Mandarin Orchard Hotel as General Manager and was responsible for two record years of profit growth at each. While living and working in Singapore for almost 20 years, John recognized the difficulties hotels were facing in terms of recruiting and retaining effective cleaning staff. This realization led him to found Hospitality Resource Solutions in 2013 to be the industry leader in assisting Singaporean hotels and businesses streamline their cleaning services, enabling them to be both more productive and manpower lean.
Prior to founding HRS, John presided over the Hilton London Kensington's 601 guestrooms as General Manager. A recognized and respected hotel industry veteran, he has received a number of hotel industry awards during his tenure in the business and has been a fellow of the Institute of Hospitality in the United Kingdom for more than 25 years.
Marie has been involved in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and has a strong understanding of the benefits that housekeeping brings to hotels. She has worked for several large hotel brands during her career and worked with John Sartain at The Grand Copthorne Waterfront back in 2007-09.
Marie brings a host of people management skills to her role. The training and development of our people is of paramount importance to the Company and its colleagues.
