Anne Murphy

Anne Murphy enjoys working with students and their families to help them navigate the college application process. She has specialized training in the college application essays, standardized testing, and financial aid. She developed her interest in education consulting work after witnessing many young people being under-served or inadequately guided through this important process and transformational period of their lives. Anne volunteered in the Vista Unified School District holding Board positions in the Aquatics Booster Club, PTA, and GATE committees. She has a B.A. in History from UCLA and earned her College Counseling Certificate from UCSD. Her daughter has a J.D. from Columbia University and a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA. Her son is a Naval Aviator with a B.A. in Business Economics from UCI. Anne lives in Oceanside and enjoys gardening, cooking, and knitting when not reading essays! Anne is a member of the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC), the Western Association for College Admissions Counseling (WACAC), and the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA).

Kelly Ballantyne

Kelly Ballantyne received her College Counseling Certification from the University of California, San Diego and is a founding member of ICAN Consulting Group. She takes a practical approach to the college selection process providing resources and information as a research analyst for the ICAN Group.

Linda Dowley

Job Titles:
  • Certified College Counselor
Linda Dowley loves to talk college. Consequently, she has made college information presentations her focus. She does not provide individual counseling, but instead concentrates on providing information to public schools, college tour groups, parent groups and philanthropy groups such as National Charity League and National League of Young Men. She works primarily at La Jolla High School providing college programs and weekly articles in the school's eNews. If you have a group of students or parents who would benefit from a college presentation (content can be tailored to the audience needs, and price will vary depending upon the length of the presentation) please contact her. Linda has a passion for education and has been a long-time public school volunteer. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in French, and got her Certificate in College Counseling from UCSD. She is the parent of three college graduates, and she and her husband live in La Jolla.

Susan Morris

Susan Morris graduated from Stanford University and received her MBA at USC. She earned a Certificate in College Counseling from UCSD. Susan's passion for helping students through the college application processes began over a decade ago and she delights in finding the right fit through research. Her children matriculated to LMU, USC and SMU. She resides in La Jolla, CA with her husband and two beagles.
