Through a variety of experiences, both personal and professional, I have developed a sincere and intense passion to use my skills to support families and children with special educational needs and disabilities... In September 2004, aged 25 months, my son was diagnosed with classic autism. My understanding as a parent enhances my ability to empathize with the challenges faced by families. I have been actively involved in parent support work for many years, including developing and delivering training... I have a BSc (Hons) Psychology and I am a qualified primary school teacher, with further post-graduate study at Masters level to learn about best practice in autism education. I believe in individualized learning, pro-active strategies, building on strengths and therapeutic input.
