Founded in January 2020, JCS Silicon Valley was formed to provide resources, training, and support to Jamaica. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!... We are pleased to announce the launch of the Google Developers Student Club at the University of Technology, Kingston, Jamaica (Utech). As a collaborative partner of this initiative by Google, JCSSV seeks to facilitate learning opportunities for Utech's students through mentorship and knowledge-sharing. The launch of this program followed the successful recent completion of a Google Summer of Coding Bootcamp, which was attended by over 50 students from Utech and other institutions across Jamaica. Along with JCSSV, Quarrio - a Silicon Valley company led by a member of our diaspora - also partnered in contributing to the Bootcamp activities... We are committed to the advancement of people through technology. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us affect..
