David Simcic

Job Titles:
  • Senior Accountant and Information Technology Lead
Rejoined J.S. Miller Group in 2022 and has twenty years of experience providing services to a variety of clients including start-up, not-for-profit, and government contracting businesses. His experience includes auditability assessments, systems analysis and assessments, data analysis, and complex financial modeling. In addition to day-to-day accounting duties, Mr. Simcic has worked with various accounting, database, and forecasting software, spearheading accounting system builds and integrations to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Mr. Simcic is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Managerial Economics. Mr. Simcic's ongoing education includes a master's Certificate in Accounting and Information Systems. He is currently studying blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Glenn R. Frank, III

Glenn R. Frank, III joined our team in February of 2023 as a senior tax manager. Glenn is a results-oriented accounting professional with more than 30 years of experience in entrepreneurial business ownership, public accounting, and taxation. My experience includes providing CFO services, business consulting, government contracting, non-profit accounting with a special focus on business growth.

Jason Miller - Founder

I started my career with a Big Four public accounting firm, working with entrepreneurial and non-profit-based organizations, and it was during these years that I realized that while I loved the work, my true life goal was to follow my family's tradition of owning and operating my own business. After fulfilling this goal in 2012, I vowed to build an accounting practice based on the premise that I'd treat clients just as I do my friends and family. I pride myself as a hard-worker who learned that trait through my upbringing and working in my family furniture stores through my teenage years.

Jennifer Withers

  • Senior Accountant
Jennifer Withers is a bookkeeper and controller who works with small businesses and non-profits to manage their financial well-being and planning. Prior to her current role with JSMG, Jennifer spent more than a decade overseeing operations and finance for a fast-growing government contractor where she was responsible for developing and analyzing budgets and cost controls, providing timely and frequent financial information that supported corporate goals and objectives. She has comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, A/P, A/R, payroll, general ledger postings, invoicing, and compliance guidelines. During her years with JSMG (2017), she has developed and delivered monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit and Loss statements and Balance Sheets for management of a variety of clients within strict deadlines. In her personal time, she also provides volunteer bookkeeping and financial management services for some local non-profits in her community. Jennifer is certified in QuickBooks and holds a BA from Dartmouth College.

Sheila Nicholson

Sheila Nicholson is a senior accountant at JSMG, who is responsible for managing a portfolio of small to medium-sized companies. She has comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, A/P, A/R, general ledger postings, invoicing, bank reconciliation, and reporting. Before joining JSMG, Sheila worked in Brazil in a medium-sized accounting firm, where she was responsible for managing 10-12 companies, providing tax and bookkeeping services. Sheila has a bachelor's degree in accounting and an MBA degree. During these years of experience, Sheila developed a strong history of effective time management by prioritizing and managing multiple assignments of varying complexity within tight deadlines.

Stephanie Sparks

Stephanie Sparks is a young accountant with a passion for numbers and a strong work ethic. She graduated from the College of Coastal Georgia with a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance in 2021 and has already made a name for herself in the industry. Stephanie has quickly gained valuable experience working with the J.S. Miller Group, where she has been involved in a wide range of accounting and financial reporting projects.

Tarsila Gomes

Tarsila Gomes is a staff accountant with JSMG. She is responsible for ensuring the consistency and veracity of the accounting information of some small and medium-sized companies. Tarsila spent more than 15 years working with Accounting. Before joining JSMG Tarsila has worked in Brazil for 2 multinationals. She has experience in the accounting closing process, strong performance in improving and automating processes, providing financial information, accounting reports through analysis, and account support to other areas. She has a bachelor's degree in accounting and an MBA in Finance and Controllership Management. Tarsila is a very committed, and fast learner, with professional discipline and organization, and great teamwork.

Tasha Fox

Tasha Fox is a highly experienced Financial Operations and Accounting leader with a proven track record of effectively managing complex accounting and reporting duties. Tasha's professional journey includes a significant role as the Controller for the Osage Nation in Pawhuska, OK. In this position, she oversaw the financial operations of the Native American government, ensuring timely and accurate completion of auditing, budgeting, financial analysis, capital asset management, and payroll. Tasha's strategic vision and expertise in budgeting, analysis, and forecasting contributed to the success of the Osage Nation's financial goals. Throughout her career, Tasha has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, hiring and mentoring accounting staff to build high-performing teams capable of delivering results and handling complex financial challenges. She is known for her effective communication, which allows her to collaborate seamlessly with organizational leadership, fellow team members, and external stakeholders. She is highly proficient in various software platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics SL, Abila MIP Fund ACCT, Microix, Netsuite, Oracle, and QuickBooks. Tasha holds a Master's degree in Accounting & Financial Management from Keller Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Management from the University of Oklahoma. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certified in the state of Oklahoma. Recognized for her outstanding contributions to the accounting profession, Tasha was honored as one of the "2020 Most Powerful Women in Accounting" by the American Institute of CPAs and CPA Practice Advisor. She also received the prestigious "Controller of the Year/Not-for-Profit Runner-Up" award from the Controllers Council, affirming her expertise and impact in the field. Outside of her professional endeavors, Tasha actively engages in community service. She serves as a Chartering Board Member for the Oklahoma State University Center for Executive of Professional Development's Tribal Finance and Accounting Certificate Committee. Additionally, she has dedicated her time as a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters, positively impacting the lives of young individuals.
