Kentucky Artisan Distillery is a unique place in the craft distillery world. A visit to KAD shows the real side of Kentucky craft distilling. Led by our Head Distiller, Jade Peterson, our team of distillers run a distillery that is devoid of iPads, rather using their senses to know when a batch is finished. Our distillery is truly as close as a production facility in the 21 st century can get to how bourbon was made 200 years ago... Kentucky Artisan Distillery is one of the few distilleries that produces bourbon and spirits literally from the roots to the bottle, all by hand. We contract grow our grains on 700 acres neighboring our distillery at Waldeck Farm. Our distillery is completely run by our distillers, not a computer. And every bottle that goes down our bottling line is touched by several sets of hands... Kentucky Artisan Distillery is home to Jefferson's Bourbon as well as many other brands of unique, craft spirits.
