Dr. Catherine Berry

Dr. Catherine Berry, a Katy native, completed her under-graduate and doctoral studies at Texas A&M and the College of Veterinary Medicine, class of 2002. After interning at Southwest Equine in Scottsdale, AZ, she practiced at a local equine clinic until 2010 when she joined a horse, dog & cat practice in Bellville, TX. Dr. Berry brought her mix of special skills and experience to our practice in 2016. She truly enjoys providing healing and care for creatures, great and small. Away from work, she loves spending time with her husband, Nick and their two Corgis, Daisy and Toby. Her second passion is competing with her German-bred hunter-jumper, Lucy.

Dr. Cullen Dauchy

Dr. Cullen Dauchy has been practicing at Katy Veterinary Clinic since 1971 and was owner from 1978-2008. Dr. Dauchy graduated from Texas A&M University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Although he devotes much time to patient care and to practice management, Dr. Dauchy supports many youth activities in the Katy area. Dr. Dauchy has been a Partner in Education with Katy Elementary School since 1988. He served three years as president of the Katy High School Athletic Booster Club and has won its Outstanding Service Award. He has also sponsored local youth sports teams and he is an honorary member of both the Katy High School FFA and the Taylor High School FFA. Dr. Dauchy and his wife, Alice Ann, are very active in their church. The Dauchy family includes three daughters and eight grandchildren.

Dr. Hillary Barra

Dr. Hillary Barra is a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M University's School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Barra spent a year in Coral Springs, Florida where she completed a small animal medical and surgical internship. She then returned home to Katy in 2009 and joined the team at Katy Veterinary Clinic. She is dedicated to providing the highest quality medicine to all of her patients and treating them as if they were members of her own family. When Dr. Barra is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, and their four adorable children. She also loves playing with her Australian Shepherds, Wendy and Skye.

Dr. Jessica Machala

Dr. Jessica Machala was born and raised in Northwest Houston. She attended Texas A&M and earned her Finance degree from Mays Business School in 2009. While attending business school, she discovered her true passion, caring for animals. She worked as a veterinary technician and volunteered at a local humane society while taking science courses required for application to vet school. Dr. Machala has been a part of the Katy Veterinary Clinic team since graduating from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.

Dr. Kari Cleavinger

Dr. Kari Cleavinger has been associated with Katy Veterinary Clinic since 2003 and purchased the clinic in 2008. Dr. Cleavinger is a graduate of the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. "As a life-long Katy resident, there is no other place in the world where I would rather practice veterinary medicine. The city of Katy has been so good to me and my family and giving something back to the community is extremely important. By providing high quality veterinary care, I feel the community and their pets will benefit greatly." Dr. Cleavinger enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children, as well as cooking and working crossword puzzles.

Dr. Lori Smith

Dr. Lori Smith is a 1995 graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. She began working at Katy Veterinary Clinic in 1986 as a high school student. Dr. Smith enjoys practicing veterinary medicine with each day bringing her new challenges and opportunities to serve the needs of her clients and patients. Each patient is unique and special, and she feels great privilege in caring for them. Dr. Smith feels blessed to be a part of Katy Veterinary Clinic and work with such a dedicated and compassionate veterinary team. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, granddaughter, and granddogs as well as attending sporting events, especially Aggie ones!
