Charlene Sobie

Charlene Sobie is a licensed clinical social worker and has been practicing in the field since 1996. Charlene is also a school social worker and has a master's level school certification (Type 73). She began her career working in a variety of school programs, from a therapeutic day program for at risk adolescents to a large suburban high school working as a school social worker. Charlene joined the staff at Legacy in 2005. Charlene primarily works with clients from young through late adulthood. Her areas of clinical interest include, anxiety, depression, women's issues, bereavement, the impact of life threatening illnesses on family members, and working with clients to help increase empowerment and their ability to advocate for themselves. Charlene also serves as the practice director for Legacy Clinical Consultants.

Ema Chester

Ema Chester is a Mental Health counselor with a M.A. degree from Boston College, Lynch School of Education. Ema has worked in a variety of settings including in schools, community mental health centers, and private practice. Ema likes to work collaboratively with her clients, using a variety of therapies and techniques including CBT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapies. Ema is committed, driven, and conscientious in her work as a counselor because she believes it is a privilege and a calling to walk alongside others on their journey towards wholeness. Ema has experience working with a racially and linguistically diverse population, particularly within immigrant communities, as this is part of her own background. Ema is a bridge builder and loves connecting with different cultures and communities. She is especially interested in making counseling meaningful and accessible to people who have never done counseling before and find it strange or intimidating. Ema loves working with adolescents and adults across the life-span.

Jeff Van Meter

Dr. Van Meter is a licensed Clinical Psychologist as well as the founder and Executive Director of Legacy Clinical Consultants. After achieving a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, Dr. Van Meter began working at Accenture as a business consultant. In 1992, he returned to school to study psychology, and its integration with theology, at Wheaton College. He completed his degrees in 2000, including a Master of Arts in Theology and a Doctor of Psychology. In 2001, he founded Legacy Clinical Consultants to provide comprehensive psychological services to businesses, families and individuals in the Chicago area. In addition to traditional therapy services, Legacy provides businesses and organizations of all types with a variety of assessment tools and execution strategies to improve performance, productivity and morale. Dr. Van Meter has served on staff with Cypress Leadership Development, The Lead Life Institute, and Linden Oaks Hospital. He maintains affiliations with Central DuPage Hospital, Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, and Linden Oaks Hospital.

Melanie Morten

Melanie Morten is a licensed clinical professional counselor and has been in the counseling field since 2004. Melanie is originally from San Diego, California where she received her bachelor's in psychology, and moved to Wheaton, IL in 2006 to pursue her master's in clinical psychology. Melanie has worked in many different settings from community counseling agencies, college campuses, private practice, as well as residential treatment (inpatient rehab). Melanie has also traveled to Africa and Asia to teach a trauma focused art therapy program to orphanage leaders in the local areas. Her passion is to improve the quality of life of others, providing a space to help identify barriers to achieving a meaningful life. She has a passion for taking the shame out of human struggle, as well as finding and embracing an authentic self. Melanie has a broad range of experience from addictions, self-harm, eating disorders and mood disorders, but has particularly worked closely with depression, anxiety, career/vocation, womens' issues (adolescents-adults), transitions, coping skills, grief, as well as identity and self-esteem issues. Outside of loving her job and helping others, she enjoys bonding over topics such as cooking, traveling, dogs, beaches, bike rides, candy, coffee, and adventure!

Ms. Renee Packer

Ms. Renee Packer is a Licensed Social Worker who works with individuals and families ranging from kids to young adults. Renee attended University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where she received her Bachelors of Social Work. Renee then studied at Jane Addams College of Social Work earning a Masters degree in Social Work. Renee has a specialization in School Social Work. She particularly enjoys working with kids, adolescents, and young adults as they work through anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem or other related issues. Renee also works at Plainfield Central High School. She has been there for three years working in their specialized program for students with emotional and behavioral disabilities. She has experience working with a wide range of diagnoses and disabilities including anxiety, depression, autism, bipolar disorder, and mood disorders. Renee likes to work collaboratively with her clients using a variety of techniques including, CBT, mindfulness, and art therapy. In her free time, she enjoys kickboxing, animals, shopping, traveling, the great outdoors, and reading.

Ms. Tené Robinson

Ms. Tené Robinson is a Licensed Social Worker who works with individuals and families across the span from childhood to mid adulthood. Tené attended Ripon College in Wisconsin where she studied Psychology and eventually pursued her Masters degree in social work at University of St. Francis. She particularly enjoys working with kids, teens, and young adults as they work through anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, or other related issues.

Rakhi Shingala

Rakhi Shingala is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT). Rakhi has received a double masters degree, with an MA in Counseling psychology from Mumbai India and Masters in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Columbia College Chicago. Rakhi has over 15 years of experience working as a mental health professional and over 10 years of experience working as movement therapist. Rakhi has worked with children, adolescents, adults and older adults. Her expertise includes working with clients who may have a history of trauma, eating disorder, anxiety and behavioral problems.

Reesa Kizior

Reesa Kizior is a licensed clinical social worker and has been practicing in the field since 1995. Reesa has extensive experience as a special education school social worker and has worked with all ages (first grade to post-high school) and types of students from Autism to learning disabled to emotionally disabled. She has experience working through a variety of issues including anxiety, behavior issues, depression, life transitions, and self-confidence. Reesa believes that everyone has problems or struggles at times, and it is okay to ask for help. She is here to provide that help and support you while you work your journey.
