Amish A. Naik

Amish Naik, MD, PhD, is an experienced, board-certified orthopedic surgeon, he provides women, men, and children in the North Jersey and New York Metropolitan areas a seamless, patient-first therapeutic experience. Dr. Naik and his team are trained as active, compassionate listeners. Whenever possible, they recommend conservative treatments first, including rest and physical therapy. Dr. Naik is an expert at minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery to repair torn or injured tendons, ligaments, and bones, and to replace badly damaged joints. Throughout his career, Dr. Naik witnessed patients recover from devastating accidents with the aid of their families, doctors, therapists, and nursing staff. This experience inspired his mission to give each patient the focused, state-of-the-art care they need so they can get back to the activities they enjoy. Dr. Naik earned his medical and doctorate degrees at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, under the prestigious Medical Scientist Training Program scholarship sponsored by the National Institutes of Health. He did a five-year residency in orthopedic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, followed by additional training in hand surgery and reconstructive shoulder surgery at the New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases, the historic Bellevue Hospital Center, and Mount Sinai Beth Israel, all in New York City. He's board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Because injuries and debilitating pain can strike at any time, Alta Orthopedics is open during some weekend hours as well as during the workweek. Dipal Shah

Dr. Brian Manzi

Dr. Brian Manzi is a fellowship-trained pediatric otolaryngologist practicing in Livingston and Newark, NJ. He specializes in the treatment of the full range of pediatric ear, nose, and throat conditions from newborn to 21 years old. Dr. Manzi obtained his medical degree at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and his residency training in Otolaryngology at Louisiana State University Health Science Center. Following residency, with a desire for even more training, he completed a fellowship in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology at Boston Children's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts where he was trained by expert pediatric otolaryngologist surgeons from the world-renowned Harvard Medical School. In addition to managing common Pediatric ENT problems including recurrent ear infections, hearing loss, chronic throat infections, sinus infections, nasal disease, tonsil/adenoid disease, and sleep apnea, Dr. Manzi has advanced training in complex airway surgery using both endoscopic and open techniques. He is experienced in laryngotracheal reconstruction, correction of airway narrowing (glottic/subglottic/tracheal stenosis), and the management of obstructive sleep apnea. Dr. Manzi also has extensive training in management of complex head and neck masses, endoscopic sinus surgery, and ear surgery including cochlear implantation. He is a member of the Pediatric Cochlear Implant team at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Manzi is devoted to providing the best possible medical care for all his patients. Dr. Frank Traupman

Dr. Frank Traupman is a General and Acute Care Surgeon within the Department of Surgery at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. Dr. Traupman earned his BA at College of the Holy Cross in 2001 while also playing Varsity football, and his MD from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2008. He completed his general surgery residency at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in 2014. He is board certified in General Surgery. He also received the Bob Dorian Memorial Resident Teaching Award for his outstanding teaching aptitude. As a surgical resident Dr. Traupman traveled to Milot, Haiti for two medical missions. Under his guidance, the surgeons at the local hospital in Milot were able to perform over 60 procedures and some of their first laparoscopic cases. He is devoted to teaching the residents, nurses, and medical students at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. Dr. Traupman is a phenomenal addition to the Department of Surgery as a surgeon and a physician committed to performing a broad spectrum of general surgery. Dr. Kenneth S. Miller

Dr. Lisa F. Zhang

She was then accepted into the prestigious Temple School of Podiatric Medicine where she graduated with Pi Delta Honors. Dr. Zhang completed her residency at UMDNJ, a level I trauma center, under the tutelage of Dr. Keith Cook and Dr. George Wallace. Here Dr. Zhang gained additional experience especially in diabetic foot and ankle management and trauma. As a former & current athlete, Dr. Zhang takes a special interest in sports medicine. She is skilled in fixing fractures of the foot and ankle, treating ankle sprains, bunions (hallux abductovalgus), hammertoes, arthritis of the 1st MTPJ (hallux limitus), and soft tissue masses. Dr. Michael Nusbaum

Dr. Michael Nusbaum started the Bariatric surgery program at Saint Barnabas Medical Center back in 1998. He has been director of that program, chief of that program and director of the program at the Saint Barnabas Ambulatory Care Center. In 2008, Morristown Medical Center ask if he would come over and restart their program, so he became chief at both Saint Barnabas and Morristown Medical Center. Since then, he has performed over 6,000 Bariatric Procedures. As a pioneer in his field, he has co-authored the definitive textbook in his field: Metabolic Medicine and Surgery published by CRC Press. He has also authored numerous articles in peer reviewed journals and is frequently asked to speak at both national and international meetings. He is a consultant to industry and has helped develop and test some of the most advanced surgical tools that exist today. He was the first surgeon to perform a Robotic Assisted Gastric Bypass in the NY Tri-State area and also the first to perform a Robotic Assisted Gastric Band in the NY Tri-State area. Patrick A. Coady

Raphael Longobardi

He completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at NYU Medical Center, as well as an orthopaedic sports medicine fellowship at the Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic in Knoxville, Tennessee. Since 1996, Dr. Longobardi has been in a private practice, with offices at NYU Medical Center and in Hackensack, NJ. He has authored various articles related to the shoulder, presenting his work both nationally and internationally. Dr. Longobardi has been active teaching at NYU School of Medicine, and is currently a faculty member of the NYU Langone Medical Center-Hospital for Joint Diseases Department of Orthopaedic Surgery as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthopaedic Surgery. He has been a Faculty Mentor to the students of NYU School of Medicine for their Professionalism course, as well as an active member of the Admissions Committee for NYU School of Medicine. At his alma mater, Fordham University, he participates as a member of the Dean's Pre-Health Advisory Board and Science Council. He also participates as a Mentor and Advisor for Fordham University pre-medical students. Further, since 2008, he collaborates with Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, NJ, mentoring high school students with an interest in medicine.

Richard L. Moskowitz

Dr. Moskowitz is a recipient of the 2014 NJ Monthly Top Docs award. Dr. Richard Lee Moskowitz has been engaged in the practice of Colon and Rectal Surgery in Morris County for 30 years. Originally in practice with Dr. Raymond Crystal until Dr. Crystal's retirement in 2001, Dr. Moskowitz was engaged in the practice of General and Colon and Rectal Surgery at Roosevelt and St. Luke's Hospitals in New York City prior to establishing himself in New Jersey. Dr. Moskowitz graduated from the Milton S. Hershey School of Medicine of the Pennsylvania State University in 1978 and completed a General Surgical Residency at the North Shore Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Thereafter, a fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery was obtained from the Greater Baltimore Medical Center under the direction of Dr. John Rosin from the Mayo Clinic. An additional year of postgraduate research and clinical training was accomplished in London at St. Marks Hospital - the "cradle of colon and rectal surgery". There, Dr. Moskowitz worked with surgical pioneers of Inflammatory Bowel Disease who created the "pouch" option for Restorative Proctocolectomy in patients with Ulcerative Colitis. Specifically, his mentors included Peter Hawley for rectal oncological resections and Professor John Nicholls. Dr. Moskowitz collaborated with Professor Nicholls in writing the seminal papers describing the staging of "Pouchitis".

Robert A. Ruffini

Dr. Robert Ruffini received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College. He completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Ruffini completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Presbyterian-University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
