Allan Spivey

Allan Spivey's long tenure in the engineering and construction fields, combined with his track record of effective estimating, allows him to provide strong support to Lochwood-Lozier's team of Project Managers and clients. Allan has worked in residential construction for more than the last decade, focusing on projects in Mercer Island, Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond, and Snohomish. He finds satisfaction in successes where Lochwood-Lozier builds a positive long-lasting relationship with their clients, and he is deeply compelled by our culture of ‘teamwork with humility', accompanied with the joy of helping others. Allan is always kind, pleasant, and consistently there for all. As part of that, Allan also manages our IT team and keeps everyone up to date on their technologies. Outside of the office, Allan finds solace in camping, reading, eschatology, and studying the gripping history of the Civil War. "Teamwork begins by building trust. And the only way to do that is to overcome our need for invulnerability", say Allan.

Barent Hoffman

Barent Hoffman, Project Manager, is a native of Washington State with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, and specializes in managing custom home builds and remodeling. Barent also has extensive working knowledge of carpentry, Auto CAD, and tile installation, to name a few! After receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the UW in 1998, his combined interest of engineering and carpentry also lead him to obtain a degree in Carpentry Technology. He has built several multi-million dollar estates on the Eastside including a luxury Yarrow Point waterfront. When Barent is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family of five and building/tinkering with electric bicycles.

Betsy Walker

After graduating from Washington State University with degrees in Psychology and Human Development, Betsy Walker worked as a project manager in the fire and water restoration industry before shifting her focus and interests to her creative side where digital marketing, copy writing, digital design, and photography prevail. At Lochwood-Lozier, Betsy supports and enhances the interior design team by offering her project management and design skills, all while maintaining Lochwood-Lozier's social media and website presence. Betsy says she is incredibly grateful to have found a position where she is able to combine some of her favorite hobbies into her work routine. She finds joy in being involved with a wide variety of work and incorporating ever-changing marketing trends that highlight Lochwood-Lozier's approach to design building. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, crafting, and any activity involving dogs. Her two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are the light of her life!

James Wang, Senior Project Manager with Lochwood-Lozier, was born and raised in Beijing, China and moved to the U.S. to attend the University of Washington where he earned a degree in Construction Management. In addition to working with Lochwood-Lozier for the past seven years, James played a large role as the Assistant Site Manager during construction of the Hong Kong Palace Museum. James and Todd Lozier were also featured together on the front page of the New York Times's Sunday Real Estate section in 2014 for their work catering to international and tech-based clients in Medina. His ambitions to remain humble, hungry, and people-smart have awarded him with accolades both here in the states, as well as China. James is motivated to be an ideal team player and believes "the future is in making it happen!" James is not only people smart, but highly thoughtful in applying his intelligence quotient to his jobs, as well as being authentic, and very hardworking. We are honored and thrilled to have him as a work associate and leader. Outside of work, James spends his free time playing tennis, pickleball, and badminton, and is teaching himself how to play the guitar.

Liz Palmas

As the Vice President of Finance at Lochwood-Lozier, Liz Palmas has worked and is well versed in every account and office manager position we've had for 11+ years. Liz has worked in numerous accounting positions since the early 70's, and prior to working with Lochwood-Lozier, she owned her own construction business in Seattle, WA. Liz's hard work, trust, and dedication to Lochwood-Lozier cannot be matched. She wants nothing more than to see great success with happy clients, strong internal culture, and good systems. She goes the extra mile on a daily basis to set the example and aids in leading our team to success. Liz also plays a major role in problem solving and meeting the necessary deadlines, goals, and targets that keep projects on track. Outside of work, Liz enjoys dancing, beach vacations, and spending time with her family, particularly her great-grandson Eli.

Sarah Smith

Artist and designer, Sarah Smith, has been creating comforting and sophisticated residential spaces for clients of Lochwood-Lozier for the past six years, and before that for a luxury finish install company that service Lochwood-Lozier. Sarah's experience began in 2005 when she developed a zeal for interior design through the process of redesigning her own home. She then went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Interior Design, become an ASID Member, and continues her education through hands on experience. Sarah is a firm believer in ‘less is more' and ‘form before function'. With her instinctive eye for beauty and assured sense of balance, Sarah helps homeowners feel confident in their design choices, and takes great pride in the trust her clients place on her. For leisure, Sarah enjoys sailing, golfing, traveling, and cheering on the Seattle sports team with her husband.
