Ashwin has over 27 years' experience ranging from the project management, advisory and engineering fields. for the past 20 years. He holds a B.Sc. Honours Degree in the Built Environment and a Bachelor's Technology Degree in Project Management. His skills extend to business case development, technical feasibility studies, business consulting and programme and program management in the built environment. He is experienced in leading, managing and motivating the full professional development team including the Architects, QS's, Engineers and other Specialist consultants in the Built Environment Sector. He has been engaged in various Infrastructure/Built Environment Advisory projects such as Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects since early 2004 and Transaction Advisory projects and procurement concepts of PPP projects and other technical, engineering and infrastructure or service delivery projects where he led and managed multi-faceted teams (Technical, legal & Financial). Ashwin is also experienced in numerous roles such as the Independent Certifier as well as the Lenders Technical Advisor (LTA). For over 12 years, he headed up the engineering projects division and served as the Operations Director heading up the Engineering & Advisory projects. He is also exposed in the Metering (incl. Smart) and Revenue Management sector, developing revenue protection procedures and processes to audit and prosecute defaulting customers. Ashwin was also involved in Wind and CSP renewable energy projects for technical coordination. Ashwin now joins Mahlako Advisory as the Head of Advisory team.
