MASTER WORKS DESIGN GROUP - Key Persons
Steve Schmidt has established himself as a distinguished professional in the special event and floral industry for more than 20 years. The driving force behind Master Works Design Group, Steve brings visionary creativity, meticulous detail management, impressive product knowledge, and personal approachability to every special event. As a lifelong floral designer, Steve was inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers at their International Design Symposium in Boston in 2010. While attending the Symposium, Steve represented the special events industry as one of eight AIFD designers featured in a stage program entitled, ‘Celebrating the Times of Our Lives'. He later appeared in a program to showcase up and coming designers as well. He holds the 2004 and 2005 Triple Crown Awards from the Milwaukee Showcase Event for tabletop presentation, floral design, and creative booth entries. Steve also participated as part of the design team on ‘Extreme Home Makeover WI Home Edition' with Ty Pennington as well as the design team that produced the 140th Anniversary Celebration of Smithfield Market in London in 2008. Steve has produced events from San Francisco to Orlando; notable productions include the Wisconsin Governor's Inauguration & Farewell Events, the Chazen Museum of Art Grand Opening, the 150th Anniversary of the University of Wisconsin Alumni Association, and the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra's Concerts on the Square…drawing over 50,000 guests to Madison's Capitol Square every summer.
