MENTAL HEALTH FOR US

‘What About Us' was created to help those affected by any type of mental health and in turn gain knowledge on how to help those in benefitting from help. After working in the bar industry for 10 + years I started noticing every time I stepped into the bar to work an overwhelming amount of emotions would flood in: "I really need it to be busy today", " Gah - I should have given my shift away today", "Ugh, they're working today?", "I wonder if people can actually tell how fake this feels", "Gah - I just need a day to decompress, but I can't afford it". My biggest question was "What about us?". What about the industry staff that always ‘has to be on'? Too many close friends were needing more than just health insurance, they, and myself, need guidance and resources. I couldn't continue knowing that my closest friends were internally struggling and had nowhere to turn.
