Hardware Mecca is a family-owned company now in its second generation of management. The initial founder of the company serves as the director of the company and also provide valuable advice and guidance to the current management... Hardware Mecca was established in March 1995 when the company bought all the assets of De Witt & Thaele Hardware (Pty) Ltd. Hardware Mecca currently has branches in Harrismith, Bethlehem and QwaQwa. Another company, Truss Mecca (Pty) Ltd was established in 1998 and specializes in the manufacturing and supplying of roof trusses according to the ITC standards. Brick Mecca, with a fully automated manufacturing plant of cement bricks and pavers was added to the group during 2013 and on 1 July 2021 Brick Mecca acquired a clay brick manufacturing plant in Harrismith. Quarry Mecca was established in 2017 in order to supply crushed stone.
