At Micanopy Academy, we believe in making a personal connection with each and every student. No one gets lost in the crowd here! Our highly qualified team of professionals aim to cultivate the innate curiosity and creativity of young minds. Students are taught in whole group and small group settings. IEP and 504 Plan accommodations are followed to ensure that all of our students succeed, but we do not have an ESE teacher at this time. One of our main goals is to empower students to become independent, capable, and productive members of society... Micanopy Academy began, as Micanopy Middle School, in 2001 with only a 6th grade class and added grades as the years went by. We now serve grades 6 through 12. Ours is a tight-knit community and we believe in incorporating the historic town of Micanopy into the classroom as much as possible. Our students make trips to Downtown Micanopy throughout the year.
