Making Waves Education Foundation is a Bay Area nonprofit that supports Making Waves Academy - a public charter school with more than 1,100 5th through 12th grade students - and leads college and career programming with more than 400 college students.​... Founded in 1989, Making Waves is committed to educational equity and to addressing the educational needs of socioeconomically disadvantaged youth with limited access to quality schools in Richmond, California... Under the Making Waves umbrella, Making Waves Academy partners with Making Waves Education Foundation to expand educational opportunities, college access and success, early career, and life dream fulfillment. Our student outcomes for college access and success demonstrate effectiveness in pursuing and achieving many of our goals. That being said, we continue to learn and strive to improve our student outcomes.
