Amy Crosbie

Amy Crosbie grew up in Visalia, California and played volleyball at Utah State from 1997-2000. Amy started all 4 years as an outside hitter and was instrumental in the Aggies first ever NCAA Tournament appearance her senior year. After graduating, Amy spent two years as an assistant volleyball coach for the Aggies before becoming an Academic Advisor at Utah State for the next 7 years. In 2010, Amy was named as an Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator at Weber State University. Amy is now the Executive Associate AD for Utah State University.

BROCK MITCHELL

Brock began coaching girls club upon returning to Las Vegas. He then became the assistant coach for the boys and girls teams at Coronado High School during college. After graduating with his Bachelors, he continued coaching at Coronado, becoming the boy's head coach and a year later, the girl's head coach. The move to Ogden came because of a chance to coach at the collegiate level. Brock coached at Weber State for two years before returning to the high school level as head coach at Fremont High. He has coached club for Wildcat Volleyball Club and Utah Ice. He has coached his boys and girls teams to three state runner-ups and five region championships.

CHEYANNE HAWKINS

Cheyanne graduated from Dayton High School in 2015 and Utah State University in 2019 with a BS in Exercise Science. VOLLEYBALL CAREER: Cheyanne started playing volleyball at 12 years old in 7th grade. She played one year on her JV team in high school and started Varsity for three years. Her team made it to regionals every year and took second at state her junior year. She played for Silver State Volleyball Club for three years. Cheyanne then continued playing at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon for one year and played for the Utah State Club team for 3 years, while being the president her last year. COACHING CAREER: Cheyanne was an assistant coach for Dayton Intermediate for two years. Additionally, she spent one year coaching at Silver State Volleyball Club, coached three years at Ridgeline High School. and has coached for Mountain Peak Volleyball going on five years. Currently, she is volunteer coaching at Utah State for their DI volleyball team. WHY I COACH: "I coach volleyball because I have such a passion and love for the game. Helping girls become the best they can be and growing their confidence is one of the greatest feelings. My volleyball coaches have had such a positive impact on my life, and I want to do the same for the girls I coach." VOLLEYBALL IDOL: A coach I had my 16's year named Danny. He helped me not only in improving my volleyball skills but gave me a lot of self confidence that I used in volleyball and outside of volleyball.

DEANA SKINNER

Deana played volleyball, basketball, softball, and track in high school and had college offers for three different sports. She chose to play collegiate volleyball and went on to play at Eastern Arizona College where she earned All-Conference honors. She is currently a mother of three very busy kids! Deana loves to be with her family and watch their games. She has club coaching experience and is very active in the volleyball community.

DENAE PRUDEN

Denae started her collegiate volleyball career at Utah State University. That year she was able to make an immediate difference in the program, being honored as the Big West Freshman of the Year, 1st team all Big West, and was recognized as a member of Volleyball Magazines 6 person All-Freshman Team. During the next three years, she made 1st team all Big West again as a junior and senior and led the Aggies to the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history. Denae began coaching for Mountain West as a junior in college and will be starting her 13th year as a club director. HOME LIFE: Denae grew up in Seattle, Washington. She is the youngest of five (2 brothers and 2 sisters) and admits to being the spoiled youngest child. She graduated high school and moved to Logan on a full-ride volleyball scholarship to USU. There she met her future husband, David, at an activity to build the ASL (American Sign Language) Club's Homecoming float her junior year of college. They were married 2 weeks after her senior season of playing and have enjoyed almost 20 years of marriage. Together they love to travel, watch TV, and confuse people by signing to each other when it's least expected. Denae and David have 5 awesome (although admittedly crazy) kids: Emily 16, Rachel 14, Noah 12, Eli 9, and Molly 7. They have lived in Hyrum for the past 10 years and love the country living. EDUCATION: Denae graduated Magna Cum Laude from Utah State University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. She taught 5th grade for 3 years at Nibley Elementary prior to starting her family. After a 16 years break, she is again back at Nibley Elementary teaching 4th grade. VOLLEYBALL CAREER: Denae started playing volleyball at a young age with her older sisters who both played in high school. Even though she made her 7th and 8th grade middle school teams, she couldn't serve overhand until the summer before her freshman year of high school! Denae started playing club after her 9th grade season, and really started to grow into the sport. Volleyball became her only sports passion, and she was lucky enough to receive a full-ride scholarship to play volleyball at USU. Her first year she was able to make an immediate difference in the program, being honored as the Big West Freshman of the Year, 1st team all Big West, and was recognized as a member of Volleyball Magazines 6 person NCAA All-Freshman Team. She also finished the season ranked 17th in the nation with a .375 hitting percentage. She continued her efforts at USU for the next three years, making 1st team all Big West again as a junior and senior and leading the Aggies to the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history. COACHING CAREER: Denae started coaching for Mountain West Volleyball during her junior year of college. Three years later, she became the Owner/Director at Mountain West and enjoyed that role for 11 seasons. She coached many different teams during that time, but has especially loved working with the 13/14 age groups. This season she will be starting her 15th year as a Club Director.

DIXIE LOVELESS

Dixie played collegiately at Central Wyoming College where she was a team captain and led her team in kills and blocks. Her sophomore year, she recorded a triple-double against Western Wyoming College. Dixie has been coaching different levels of volleyball for over 10 years. Dixie oversees all club operations and organizes and runs camps, clinics, and other events throughout the year. She works with other club directors in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Nevada and hosts club invitationals throughout the season at the PEAK Performance Center. She can't get enough volleyball and loves working with the youth. Dixie is a member of the Utah Power League Board and co-founder of the Utah Girl's Volleyball Association. Erin Davis

Erin grew up in Cache Valley where she started her volleyball career at Mountain Crest High School. She played one year at Salt Lake Community College where she earned 2nd team All-American honors. She then transferred to Utah State for three years where she earned All-Region honors, and All-American honors her senior year. She has an intense love for volleyball. She coached club for three years and has been playing ever since she graduated. Erin loves working with the youth and helping them develop and improve.

Grayson DuBose

Grayson has coached at the collegiate level for the past 18 seasons, beginning his career at USU as an assistant coach and then becoming the head coach for the USU Women's Volleyball Team, Grayson enjoys being involved at Mountain Peak. Grayson provides coaches clinics for our coaches as well as one-on-one mentoring. Grayson loves to help the girls in and around Cache Valley love the sport of volleyball and receive elite training.

Jeff Barrows

HOME LIFE: Jeff (middle named "Kawika") grew up on the island of Maui. He was an avid bodyboarder, spear-diver, fisherman, and all around beach junkie. He loves Hawaiian food and can make some pretty great snacks out of SPAM. Jeff moved from Maui to Boise, Idaho, and attended Boise State University. He served for 22 years in the Air Force in a flying squadron. Jeff met his wife Shelley while playing volleyball and they have been married for 21 years. Jeff and Shelley have 3 girls, Mikayla, Makena, and Malia. They love long road trips as a family and they love to go fishing at Strawberry Reservoir. EDUCATION: Jeff graduated from Boise State University. He also earned a Master's Degree from AMU in Charles Town, WV. where he studied Sport Management with an emphasis in Coaching Theory and Strategy. Additionally, Jeff earned his volleyball coaching CAP Level III education from USA Volleyball, under the tutelage of USAV's National Team coaches and cadre. VOLLEYBALL CAREER: Jeff started playing volleyball in junior high and high school in Hawaii. He also played as a setter on the Boise State men's' club team while attending BSU. After joining the Air Force, Jeff had the unique opportunity play on an Italian pro team in Caldogno, Italy while stationed in Vicenza with NATO in 1998. Jeff still loves to play and he participates in city leagues and outdoor grass tournaments whenever he can. Jeff always took a volleyball with him on his overseas travels and has had the opportunity to play volleyball, as a form of goodwill, with local nationals from all over the world. COACHING CAREER: Jeff began coaching volleyball in 2002 in Boise. He was a traveling national club team coach and led his teams to many USAV national qualifier tournaments. Jeff served as a volunteer assistant coach at Boise State and worked as a camp staff coach for several college volleyball camps. He has coached for USAV's High Performance program at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and also coached the Air Force Women's Armed Forces team to a Gold Medal in 2012 and a Silver Medal in 2009. Jeff was selected to head coach the Team USA CISM Women's team in 2012, and trained and competed in the Netherlands, competing against Brazil, China, Germany, Greece, Sri-Lanka, Canada, and the Dutch Women's National Team. Jeff moved from Idaho to Utah in 2015 and has served as a 6A Region 1 head volleyball coach and volleyball official in Utah. WHY I COACH: "I became a volleyball coach as a way to give back to the game that has given me so much. Through my involvement in volleyball I have met many great people from all over the world and have made many life long friends. Coaching gives me an opportunity to give back and to serve those who choose to gear up and step onto the court in the greatest game in the world."

Jodi went to Delta High School where she played volleyball, basketball and track. Her team took state in both volleyball and track her senior year. After graduating, Jodi played volleyball at Dixie College. She has coached at the high school or youth level for 11 years. She is a mother of three amazing girls & loves watching them in their many different activities! HOME LIFE: Jodi has been married to Justin for almost twenty years and they have three daughters. EDUCATION: Jodi graduated with an Associates of Science degree from Dixie College. She went to Delta High School where she played volleyball, basketball and track. VOLLEYBALL CAREER: During her senior year of high school, Jodi helped her team win the state championship in both volleyball and track. After graduating, she played volleyball at Dixie College and continues to play as much as she can. COACHING CAREER: Jodi has coached some high school at the varsity level but mostly youth level for her entire coaching career. She loves the sport of volleyball and the life lessons that can be learned through playing.

MALAYNA KNOWLES

Malayna has lived in Cache Valley for most of her life. She attended Mountain Crest High School and was part of the school's first state championship (volleyball!). After high school she played at Eastern Arizona, and then finished her education at USU earning a bachelors degree in secondary education. She has been involved with coaching, officiating, directing club, or playing volleyball for over 30 years, most recently coaching at Green Canyon.

Tanya Birch

VOLLEYBALL CAREER: From the time Tanya was in 4th grade and started sneaking out of clogging practices (her mother was a dancer) to play volleyball in the gym with her sisters, she was hooked on volleyball. She would wake up at 4:30 am in the morning to be in the gym by 5:00 am and practice again in the evenings. She made Varsity VB her freshman year in high school and was a starter and made the All-State team her sophomore year. She was Player-of-the-Year and Most Valuable Player for her Junior and Senior VB years. Her high school team won state championships all 4 of her high school years. She played club VB from 7th grade through 12th grade. Her 12th grade year she played for Utah Juniors and was selected for the All-Region team, and her team took second place in the Jr. Olympics in Houston, Texas. She played for SLCC on scholarship for 1 year then Tanya came to USU on a full-ride for her remaining 3 years. COACHING CAREER: Tanya has helped with summer camps for 4 years. She has coached recreational soccer and basketball and has coached two volleyball club seasons. WHY I COACH: While many people who knew Tanya when she was in Jr. and High school would say "she eats, sleeps, and drinks VB", VB taught her a work ethic, competitive drive to achieve, cooperation, teamwork, self-sacrifice, and time-management that helped her to be successful when her VB days were over. She would like to help other athletes develop a love for a great sport that will help them achieve attributes that will make them successful in life.

TAYLOR PORRIT

Taylor has lived all over. She has lived in Kansas, Minnesota, Idaho and Utah. Taylor is married and has two little girls, who are three and six years' old. Taylor loves being active, camping with her family, heavy lifting and SHOPPING. Taylor currently lives in Nibley and loves all that Cache Valley has to offer. Taylor has a Bachelor's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a double emphasis in Nutrition and Kinesiology. She played volleyball for 11 years and has coached at Mountain Peak for two years. Taylor is a certified personal trainer and is currently working towards her strength and conditioning coach certification.

TOMMY LOVELESS

Tom played right side and middle for the Utah State University men's volleyb all club team from 2012-2013. He enjoys playing outdoor volleyball and participates in tournaments regularly. Although he was introduced to volleyball later in his life he loves playing and watching the sport. Thomas graduated from Utah State with a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. During his day job, he works as a design engineer for Northrup Grumman.
