At Café Desire, we have always believed in the importance of building a great, enduring company that strikes a balance between profitability and a social conscience... In 2015 we assessed most of our suppliers factories and found that few of them failed our zero-tolerance standards. Even though our approach is to work with suppliers to correct the issues, there are times when we halt business due to the nature of the issues and until adequate resolution takes place. While we were able to implement improvement plans with almost majority of these factories, we discontinued working with couple of factories as suppliers for standards issues. Since starting the program in 2012 itself, we are committed to continue and sustain this practice... We know that as we deliver in each of these areas, we enjoy the kind of success that rewards our customers, franchisees and other stake holders. We are fully accountable to get each of these elements right so that Cafe Desire - and everyone it touches..
