NAMI-CT

NAMI Southwest CT is a community of people who have family members or friends with mental health conditions... Each month, our trained facilitators lead family support groups at local hospitals and churches, and 3 support groups for parents and caregivers of children with mental health issues. We sponsor NAMI educational programs locally, including the 12-week Family-to-Family course and NAMI Basics. We have established collaborative ties with local public and private social service and health agencies and treatment centers, the public school system, the faith community, and the state Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. NAMI Southwest CT also has a strong committee structure allowing for more participation by affiliate members.
