Charlotte A. Swafford joined NHI as a director in May 2020 . Ms. Swafford served as Senior Vice President and Treasurer of National Healthcare Corporation ( œNHC ) from 1985 until her retirement on December 31, 2016. She joined NHC in 1973 and served as Staff Accountant, Accounting Manager and Assistant Treasurer. Ms. Swafford has a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Technological University.

David Travis - CFO

Mr. Travis has approximately 23 years of accounting experience and is a certified public accountant. Mr. Travis most recently served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of MedEquities Realty Trust, Inc (NYSE: MRT). from its commencement of operations in August 2014 to the closing of its merger with Omega Healthcare Investors (NYSE: OHI) in May 2019. From December 2006 to July 2014, Mr. Travis served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Healthcare Realty Trust Incorporated (NYSE: HR). Mr. Travis began his career as an auditor in the assurance and advisory practice of Ernst & Young LLP in September 1996 and rose to the rank of Audit Senior Manager upon his departure in December 2006. Mr. Travis holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from The University of Memphis.

Eric Mendelsohn - CEO, President

Eric Mendelsohn has more than 20 years of healthcare real estate and financing experience. Previously, Eric was with Emeritus Senior Living for 9 years, most recently as a Senior Vice President of Corporate Development where he was responsible for the financing and acquisition of assisted living properties, home health care companies and executing corporate finance strategies. Prior to Emeritus, Eric was with the University of Washington as a Transaction Officer where he worked on the development, acquisition and financing of research, clinic and medical properties. Prior to that, Eric was a practicing transaction attorney, representing lenders and landlords. Eric has a BS from American University in International Relations, a Law Degree from Pepperdine University, and a Masters (LLM) in Banking and Finance from Boston University. Eric is a member of the Florida and Washington State Bar Associations. Eric Mendelsohn joined the NHI Board as a director in February 2021.

James R. Jobe joined NHI as a director on April 29th, 2013. Mr. Jobe is an independent director. Mr. Jobe is a partner in the accounting firm of Jobe, Hastings & Associates, CPA ™s, established in 1984 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In that capacity, he has provided accounting and consulting services in the healthcare and long-term care industries for over 27 years. Mr. Jobe previously served as an independent director of National Health Realty, Inc., a publicly-traded real estate investment trust, until its merger with National Healthcare Corporation in 2007. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Middle Tennessee State University in 1984 and became a certified public accountant in 1986.

John L. Spaid - CFO

John L. Spaid was named Chief Financial Officer in November 2019. He joined NHI in March 2016 as Executive Vice President of Finance. He oversees the Company's banking relationships. financial transactions, accounting functions and SEC reporting. He has over 30 years of experience in real estate, finance and senior housing. From November 2015 until joining NHI, Mr. Spaid provided consulting services to NHI, which services included acquisition underwriting analyses and Board presentations. Previously, Mr. Spaid was with Emeritus Senior Living as their Senior Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis where he led corporate and operational financial analysis and support teams. His responsibilities included forecasting, investor presentation, annual budget, debt and lease obligation underwriting, M&A processes, financial modeling, due diligence, Board presentations and employee development from 2012 to 2014. Mr. Spaid was a member of their Sarbanes-Oxley compliance committee. Prior to Emeritus, Mr. Spaid was an independent financial consultant, who provided mergers & acquisition, work-out, and private equity consulting services from 2010 to 2011. He also served as the CFO of a regional assisted living and memory care provider in Redmond, Washington from 2008 to 2009. Mr. Spaid holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas and an MBA degree from the University of Michigan.

Kevin Pascoe - Chief Investment Officer

Kevin Pascoe joined National Health Investors in June 2010. Kevin oversees NHI's portfolio of assets, business development, relationship management with existing tenants and conducts operational due diligence on NHI's new investment opportunities. He has over 13 years of health care real estate background including his experience with General Electric - Healthcare Financial Services (2006 - 2010) where he most recently served as a Vice-President. With GE HFS he moved up through the organization while working on various assignments including relationship management, deal restructuring, and special assets. Kevin holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from Middle Tennessee State University.

Michelle R. Kelly

Michelle R. Kelly joined National Health Investors in September 2017. Her focus is on identifying new business opportunities and managing existing client relationships in the western United States as well as strengthening NHI's brand throughout the industry. Michelle has over 16 years of experience financing and investing in the senior housing and skilled nursing industries. Most recently, she spent over 6 years at Welltower Inc.TM beginning with a focus in asset management and transitioning to business development. Prior to joining WelltowerTM, Michelle spent over 10 years at GE Capital in its Healthcare Financial Services business focused primarily on debt for seniors housing and skilled nursing. She held positions of increasing responsibility within underwriting, portfolio management and originations during her tenure at GE. Ms. Kelly began her career with Heller Financial as a member of its Associate Development Program, ultimately joining its healthcare real estate business. Ms. Kelly was an inaugural member of the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing and Care Future Leaders Council and served as Chairperson of that organization from fall of 2011 to fall of 2012. Ms. Kelly earned her BS in Finance degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Mr. Adams served as NHI's President and CEO until he retired as President of the company in February 2009 and as Chief Executive Officer effective March 1, 2011. Mr. Adams was President and Chief Executive Officer of National HealthCare Corporation ("NHC") until he resigned those positions in 2004. He remains on its Board of Directors, and served as Chairman of the Board until 2008. Mr. Adams served as President of National Health Realty, Inc. ("NHR") from 1997 until November 2004 and served as Chairman of the Board until NHR was acquired by NHC in 2007. Mr. Adams has previously served on the Boards of Assisted Living Concepts, SunTrust Bank, David Lipscomb University and the Boy Scouts of America. He received his B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from Middle Tennessee State University.
