Andrew Jones

Job Titles:
  • Program Manager
Andrew joined NJL in December 2020 as Program Manager for the Southern Tasmania and Launceston regions. Andrew has worked in employment services for the last 15 years and has undertaken a range of roles including business development, management and staff learning and development. Prior to employment services, Andrew's enjoyed a generalist career in Human Resource Management, predominantly within the retail industry. Andrew has a BA with majors in Sociology and English.

Ashlea Templar

Job Titles:
  • Devonport Team Leader
Ashlea has been working with NJL in our Devonport Office since 2019, commencing as a Mentor in the Transition to Work and ParentsNext contracts before transitioning to Team Leader in 2020. Ashlea has 17+ years experience in the employment services industry and has completed her Diploma of Leadership and Management and is currently studying Cert IV in Human Resources. Ashlea has a strong desire to make a positive difference in people's lives, both staff and participants, while continuing to build a career with NJL in the employment services industry.

Clare Davey

Job Titles:
  • Fitzroy Manager
Clare has been employed by NJL since 2012 as a Business Development Manager in Cairns, QLD and moved to Fitzroy - Central Queensland in 2014 undertaking the Business Development Role and tender writing. Upon winning Transition to Work and EST PaTH Contracts in the Fitzroy region Clare has taken on the role of Fitzroy Manager. Clare has a background in WHS, Retail and over 18 years in the training and employment services industry, with much of her career working in regional and remote communities in Qld and the NT. Clare has a Graduate Certificate in Career Development Practice and is a professional member of the Australian Centre for Career Education (ACCE).

Daniel Markovich

Job Titles:
  • Information Security Manager
Dan joined NJL in April 2019 in a Claims and Compliance role after relocating to Launceston from Melbourne. Prior to this he worked in the telecommunications industry for over 10 years, across a range of technical and managerial positions and was previously a Cisco Certified Network Associate. After taking part in NJL's ISO 27001 certification attainment during 2021, he moved into the role of Information Security Manager. Dan's primary responsibility is maintaining NJL's certification status by ensuring that IT systems, processes, and procedures continue to be aligned with the changing requirements of the international standard.

Emma Dickens - CEO

Job Titles:
  • Chief Executive Officer
Emma has been employed by NJL for 22 years having started in 1999 undertaking administration support for the RTO. After about 6 months Emma moved into supporting the Jobs Pathway Program (JPP) team staff, from here Emma enjoyed Youth Work roles under the banner of JPP, Youth Connections and Youth Pathways for about 6 years. In 2007 an opportunity to move interstate to Queensland saw Emma enter into a dual role of Coordinating Internal Job-Search Training Programs in 130+ sites, as well as managing sales invoicing for several not-for-profit organisations under the parent company. Returning to Tasmania In 2009 Emma became Operations Manager for NJL managing after all things HR, IT and Finance. Emma then became the Chief Operating Officer and from 1st July 2020 was appointed the new Chief Executive Officer for NJL.​

Hannah Wake

  • NT Coordinator
Hannah has been employed with NJL since November 2018 as a Pre-Employment Mentor managing the ParentsNext Northern Territory contract independently, with an ever-growing caseload. Hannah was promoted in May 2019 to the position of Northern Territory Coordinator managing our Darwin offices. Hannah originally comes from Sydney, NSW where she obtained an abundance of diverse Employment Services experience which includes customer service, sales agent, account manager, team leader, & mental health support worker to a Publican business owner for 2 years in Central NSW. Hannah has a Diploma in Front-line Business Management and Cert IV in Disability which has led her to this career of pursuing advocacy and mentorship.

Jayde Robinson

Job Titles:
  • North Tas Coordinator
Jayde has been with NJL since starting as a Youth Connections Consultant in 2014. Jayde back then was an integral part of the success of the Youth Connections Program with her team in Launceston achieving all of our program KPI's and contract performance working in primary and secondary schools throughout Northern Tasmania. At the end of 2014 Jayde stepped sideways in a Finance/ Operations Assistant role in learning and managing day to day supplier accounts and processing bill payments as well as general Head Office support. After a break of maternity leave Jayde returned to her role amidst the buzz of rolling out the new program ‘Transition to Work'. Jayde has continued to contribute to the success of NJL, assisting with team youth fundraisers and art activities, photo exhibits and managing Kulture Konnect. We are excited for Jayde to return to a operational role in the Launceston team as our ‘Northern Tas Coordinator' supporting the Management Team.

Joanne Shires

Job Titles:
  • Launceston Site Manager
Jo commenced with NJL in August 2021, with over 18 yrs experience incorporating both Employment Services and Training Organisations, having undertaken Leadership roles for the past 12 years. Currently overseeing the delivery of the ParentsNext, Transition to Work, PaTH Employability Skills Training and Career Transition Assistance contracts in Launceston. Jo has a Cert III in Employment Services and Cert IV in Leadership with a passion to see people have the opportunity to strive to be the best that they can be. It is a real privilege to work with a team of caring mentors and trainers who come to work each day to help others gain the skills and confidence to make a difference in their lives.

JOE HARROLD - Managing Director

  • MANAGING DIRECTOR
Joe arrived at NJL to take up the General Managers role in August 1997. He had come from Armidale, NSW where he had spent the last 10 years on the Local Council. He was Deputy Mayor of Armidale from 1989 to 1991 and Mayor from 1993 to 1995. Joe was also involved in various other organisations where he was inaugural Chairman of The Northpower Consultative Committees, Deputy Chair of the NSW Gas Advisory Committee and an establishing member of the New England Energy Efficient Task-force. Joe has a BA with majors in Politics and Philosophy and a Diploma in Small Business Management. He is also a Justice of the Peace.

John Braslin

Job Titles:
  • Tasmanian Business Manager
John has been employed by NJL for over 9 years having started at the beginning of 2013 as a Youth Connections consultant and later in that year as the Work for a Week Coordinator. At the start of 2016 John moved into the role as NW Business Development Manager and recently moved into his current role as NW Tasmania Manager. John has a background in logistics and the metal trades working for Caterpillar for 15 years and is working towards completing a Bachelor of Educational studies.

Kim Homer

Job Titles:
  • Cairns Manager
Kim joined NJL in July 2012 and is our Region Manager in Cairns and also heads up our RTO (Registered Training Organisation) being responsible for the overall compliance of our RTO with ASQA Management Standards. Kim also leads our dynamic Cairns, QLD team to deliver PaTH EST Activities throughout the region.

Kimberly Weber

Job Titles:
  • Burnie Team Leader
Kimberly commenced employment with NJL Burnie in March 2019, in the role of Receptionist/ Administrator, before moving into the position of Burnie Team Leader. With a background in Medical Administration, she also has a Cert IV in Small Business Management, and a Diploma in Management. While Kimberly's role is primarily administration based and includes completing weekly compliance checks for both the ‘ParentsNext' and ‘Transition to Work' contracts across NJL offices nationally, she is willing and able to step in and meet with participants of both the ‘ParentsNext' and ‘Transition to Work' contracts. Kimberly has also spent a significant amount of time assisting in the preparation of documents, and gaining knowledge of NJL's newest contract, ‘Career Transition Assistance'.

Kristy Harrold

Job Titles:
  • Southern Tas Coordinator
Kristy started with NJL in April 2017 and has been running PaTH Employability Skills Training (EST) in Southern Tasmania during this time. A growth in the Hobart team saw the need for more trainers, a second office and for Kristy to move into the Southern Tas Coordinator space. Prior to her time at NJL, Kristy has had experience in Call Centre roles, Accounting and Coaching. It is her role in the coaching space that drew her to our Organisation as her interests lie in motivating, mentoring and growing others.

Linda Smith - COO

Job Titles:
  • Chief Operating Officer
Linda has previously worked in Administrative and Education roles. She holds Business and TAE qualifications. Linda commenced employment with NJL in April 2016 working as a Youth Mentor and as a Trainer. From this point she was asked to assist in the coordination of programs across the North West Coast of Tasmania and also became the ParentsNext Subject Matter Expert. Linda moved to Launceston in 2019 where she was appointed Launceston Office Manager for an interim period of time. On 1st July, 2020, Linda became the new Chief Operating Officer for NJL supported by the Head Office Team.

Lisa Moritz

Job Titles:
  • SA Coordinator
Lisa joined NJL in 2019 delivering PaTH Employability Skills Training (EST) before, being promoted to our South Australian Coordinator. Lisa has a strong focus on compliance and continuous improvement which has seen her become NJL's EST specialist. Lisa is passionate about developing people and supporting them towards their career goals. Lisa has a background in Finance, Injury Management and Employment Services.

Reece McDowall

Reece joined the NJL team in July 2021 to support the ParentsNext Program in an Assistant Program Management role. Reece spent 12 years in the optical industry building up a solid business management background. Throughout his work in the optical industry he developed high level customer service skills including back-end administration, staff training and financial compliance. Reece also has a passion for community building projects which led to him becoming the Northern Tasmanian Social Soccer Association President from 2014-2017. This role enabled him to engage with wide sections of the community and promote greater community integration for recently arrived migrants. It is this passion for community building and inclusivity that led him into the ParentsNext Assistant Program Manager role.

Stacey Carter

Stacey has been a part of NJL since 2017 delivering PaTH Employability Skills Training (EST) and sourcing internships before moving into Transition to Work (TtW) and ParentsNext as a Mentor. She is passionate about people and development and firmly believes that if you focus on doing the right thing by the people, the results you seek will follow. "I am honoured to be working alongside such a passionate and dedicated Team and look forward to over-coming more challenges and celebrating victories with NJL every day" - Stacey.

Vanessa Boyd

Job Titles:
  • Project Quality Manager
Vanessa has been employed by NJL for 21 years having started in 2000 undertaking her first role as a Work Placement Officer to Coordinate the VET Placement Program at Newstead College. She then moved into the Jobs Pathway Program as a Consultant working with youth for 4 years. From this point Vanessa moved into NJL's RTO working on many different training programs that were being rolled out by NJL over the course of a few years. Always happy to step into new roles Vanessa continued on to coordinating and booking NJL travel for remote training courses, EST Claims Officer, HR Administrator and Payroll Officer. Recently Vanessa was appointed Project Quality Manager for NJL, with her first task being the roll-out of the NJL Driving School on a national level.​​​​
