Anna Norman

Anna Norman is the Asset Manager with Nighthawk Equity. As an ambitious steward with an education background, Anna brings a caring, compassionate, and attention-to-detail approach. Anna had held almost every position on the property management side. Starting in the industry as a leasing agent nine years ago, she rose to hold the position of regional manager, overseeing 25 different properties at once. Anna specializes in turning around challenged properties and solving technical issues related to construction, operations and staffing. Her vast work experience has equipped her with excellent problem-solving, interpersonal and customer service skills. Outside her busy schedule, Anna enjoys street racing, travelling, deep sea fishing, singing, and mentoring foster kids.

Drew Kniffin - President

Drew Kniffin has a corporate finance and real estate investing career that spans two decades. After finishing graduate school (JD/MBA), Drew was an investment banker providing valuation analysis and preparing small companies for refinance or sale events. From there Drew worked at a Fortune 500 company, where he negotiated and implemented Joint Ventures in Asia, Central America, and South America. Drew began his real estate career in 2008, focusing on acquiring cash-flowing properties that maintain value throughout the economic cycle. Drew is currently President of Nighthawk Equity. In that role, Drew oversees all aspects of investments such as deal prospecting, due diligence, money raising, investor communications and strategic oversight of the investments from beginning to end. Nighthawk currently oversees $75 million of investor capital, and controls in excess of $280 million in assets

Garrett Lynch

After graduating from Illinois State University with a degree in Marketing, Sales and Organizational leadership in 2009, Garrett went on to manage a successful a successful nightlife business in Chicago. Leveraging his contacts in the industry he started investing in small multifamily projects with foreign investor capital. This eventually led to him co-founding a multifamily acquisitions firm in April of 2013 at the age of 26. Starting with D class section 8 properties located on the South Side of Chicago, he moved to C and B class assets and scaled the business to 3400 units in 10 markets. Garrett personally sourced over 70% of that portfolio, with the majority of the assets being off market. Rather than use third party management, he vertically integrated with over 125 employees to operate the assets. After three years, he got bought out of his shares of the company, and traveled to17 countries and 33 cities including parts of Vietnam, Japan, New Zealand and North Korea before returning to the US to begin his next venture. With his appetite for owning and operating large multifamily complexes, he partnered with Michael Blank and Andrew Kniffin with the goal to acquire more 150+ unit value add multifamily assets around the country. He currently controls over $300M of multifamily real estate and is the co-host of the Apartment Investing Podcast with Michael Blank. Garrett enjoys fitness, international travel, finding deals and helping others become successful in real estate investing.

James Chappell

Before joining Nighthawk Equity, James held an Area Manager position with a construction renovation company overseeing multiple projects at one time. Prior to that, James held several different managerial positions with residential, multifamily and commercial construction companies. James graduated from American Public University with a bachelor's in business administration. In his free time, James enjoys family outings, his daughters' track meets, traveling and completing small projects around the house.

Margaret Smith - CHRO

Margaret Smith oversees the Human Resources initiatives and workforce strategies at Nighthawk Equity. Margaret has worked in all areas of HR including recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, performance management, leadership training and development, workers compensation, benefits, and safety. Before joining Nighthawk, Margaret worked for a construction company with a multifamily division for 7 years. Margaret graduated from Georgia College and State University with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. In her free time, Margaret likes to spend time with her family, hiking and cooking adventurous meals.

Michael Blank

Michael Blank is the CEO of Nighthawk and controls over $200M in multifamily real estate all across the United States. He's the leading authority on apartment building investing and has helped others purchase over 9,500 units valued at over $635M through his content and training programs. He's the author of the best selling book "Financial Freedom With Real Estate Investing" and the host of the popular "Apartment Building Investing" podcast. Michael holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the College of William and Mary. He's fluent in German and conversational in Spanish. Michael play tennis competitively, loves to travel, and started bow hunting several years ago. He lives near Atlanta with his wife and four children. He's also passionate about working with Uganda Counseling and Support Services (UCSS) whose mission is to spread God's love and improve the quality of life in remote regions of Uganda (read more here).

Nicole Olson

Nicole is a master-multitasker-at-large who has worked with various founders, CEOs, and entrepreneurs to alleviate everyday business stresses and frustrations. After spending years assisting executives in varying stages of business growth, Nicole saw that the first-and-foremost step to success is hiring and retaining a reliable team. She founded her first company at the end of 2018 at 20 years old, which went international within the first two months. After spending years working with clients in many different industries, Nicole fell in love with real estate and began pursuing a career in the field. Her demi-decade of executive assistance and investor relations work, as well as her Accounting degree, have enabled her to assist in raising over $60M in equity. Currently, Nicole Olson provides asset management and business execution overnight to Nighthawk. In this role, she oversees much of the complex insurance and tax

Paul Davis

Paul has closed over $100 million in multifamily acquisitions across several markets playing a key integral role in deal sourcing, underwriting, market analysis, due diligence, memo preparation and transaction management. He brings extensive experience in identifying value-add potential in low-performing assets and guiding deals to the closing table. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley with a Masters degree in Real Estate Development, Paul began working in acquisitions with a small private equity shop, Lakeside Investment Company. He spent a short amount of time at Taco Bell Corp. where he was a Sr. Analyst on the strategic development and analysis team. He quickly pivoted back into the multifamily space over to Next Wave Investors as the lead acquisitions associate. Paul has consistently worked directly with the principals of private equity shops giving him invaluable exposure to the industry's decision makers. He spends his free time surfing and traveling with his wife and daughter.
