Brittney was born and raised in McAllen. She graduated from med High earning her Certified Veterinary Assistant certificate (CVA). She volunteered with us and during that time her hard work and dedication and passion for the animals were definitely noticed and we asked her to officially joined our team in June 2014. Few years later she took a step up and became our head technician and has done a wonderful job. She is always trying to help her technical staff department run as smoothly as possible. She has a pitbull named Angus and a sphynx named Ellie. She enjoys spending time at the beach and fishing.
Dr. Ilya Carson Horrox grew up on a ranch in northern California. She attended California State University, Chico where she received her bachelor degree in animal science with a minor in biology. Dr. Carson graduated from Ross University School of Medicine after completing her clinical year at Texas A&M College station in 2007. She enjoys the outdoors and is an avid horseback rider. Dr. Carson and her husband relocated to McAllen, TX in 2011 where she joined North 10th Street Animal Hospital. They have two beautiful children and three dogs named Otis, Smidge and Lana. Dr. Carson enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and takes a special interest in surgery.

Emily is born and raised in McAllen, TX. She graduated from PSJA North and received her CVA from Animal Behavior College. She is fulfilling her dream in the veterinary field as animals are a big part of her life and passion. The tenderness and patience with all her patients is extraordinary. Emily has been in the field for 6 years before joining our team in December 2019. She loves working with dogs and cats but also enjoys assisting with birds, exotics and pocket pets. She has experience with bottle feeding neonates kittens and enjoys watching them flourish and find loving homes them. She has a dog named Buster, and five cats- named Montana, Wero, D'artagnan, Levi and Lynx. She enjoys bowling and playing board games during her spare time. She currently Resides in McAllen with her husband.

Heather was born in McAllen, TX and graduated from McAllen High School. She then attended UTRGV where she studied in business. She has been around animal her entire life and has found a new passion in the veterinary field. She loves spending time with her son and their adorable pets at home. Her fur babies include her dogs: Stitch, Dusty, Lulu, Shiloh, Sandy, Nala, Oscar, cats: Chloe, Esme, Spook and her cute iguana Wall-E. Heather enjoys nature so she loves the outdoors especially when the weather is nice and sunny. She also enjoys a really great Salsa.

Jessica was born and raised in McAllen, TX where she then graduated from McAllen High School. She attended South Texas college where she became certified with CNA, EKG tech and phlebotomy. She previously worked at a human specialty hospital until she felt it was time for a change and follow her passion in animal medicine. She joined our team in September 2019 and hit the ground running. She definitely found her niche and is up for any challenge that comes her way. She wants to get her certification for veterinary technician and plans on attending school for it soon. Her favorite breed is Chihuahua and one of her dreams is to own a "herd" of Chihuahuas someday. She has an adorable Chihuahua named Lilly and four goldfish. She enjoys watching TV with her dog and taking her for walks to the park. She currently lives in McAllen with her family.

Meagan was born and raised in McAllen, TX. She graduated from McAllen Nikki Rowe High School in 2009 and attended UTPA/STC where she studied phlebotomy. Meagan has been in the veterinary field since 2017 and joined our team in August 2019. She has been a wonderful addition to our team. Her love for animals and passion show in the wonderful quality of her work. Her gentle demeanor helps keep pets calm while in our care. She is earning her Veterinary Technician Degree and continue working in the veterinary field. She loves her job and it shows. She has two dogs named Puppy Lu and Penny and she has a cat named Olivia. Her family and pets are her world. She also loves driving to the beach in her Jeep Wrangler. Meagan currently resides in McAllen, TX with her family.

Melissa was born in North Carolina and her family moved here to the valley when she was six. She has always had a passion to work with animals. She graduated with her associates from South Texas College. Her first experience working with animals was at a boarding facility for four years before joining our team in February 2016. She brought her hard working ethics and positive attitude to the receptionist area, welcoming and helping all our clients ensuring everyone feels welcome and comfortable. She has an adorable pitbull named Titan who was left at our door step as a very tiny sick little baby. Melissa took him right in and made sure he received top health care from our amazing doctors. He is now a very strong handsome boy. She currently resides in pharr.
