ONOE,SEIZO

3G (3rd Generation Mobile Communication System) : Mr. ONOE made a significant contribution to the practical work of harmonization during intense technical conflicts between W-CDMA and CDMA2000 in the standardization of 3G mobile communication systems. He was active in both official meetings and behind the scenes. In addition to participating in a number of coordination meetings between standards bodies, he conducted substantial negotiations through repeated bilateral meetings and facilitated a comprehensive solution. He was a major contributor to the operator-led OHG (Operator Harmonization Group) that concluded the final harmonization to be captured by the IMT-2000 standards... ONOE, Seizo Director-elect of ITU's Telecommunication Standardization Bureau. Mr. ONOE (CSSO, NTT Corporation) has extensive experience in international standardization. His experience will be a driving force for the ITU-T's activities.
