PES is proudly the largest student chapter representing the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) in Canada. Our partnership with SPE allows students access to a diverse network of industry professionals, publications, workshops, and presentations... We believe that, by focusing our time on these specific areas, our student members will benefit through gaining a competitive edge upon entering the industry. PES is the official Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Calgary Student Chapter, and maintains strong ties with other non-profit organizations including the Alberta Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Association of Alberta (APEGA), the Gas Processing Association of Canada (GPAC), the Young Pipeliners Association of Canada (YPAC), and the Collegiate Energy Association (CEA).
