Christine Acklen

Chris has a joyous spirit for helping others and has been a clinical social worker and psychotherapist for over 25 years. She has worked with individuals and families, from young to aged, and provided both counseling and case management services in settings which include mental health agencies, hospitals, schools and health clinics. Chris, due to personal and professional experiences specializes in depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationships, aging, health, grief/loss and end of life. She received a Channel 4 Pay It Forward award in 2016 for her work helping a special needs teenager graduate from high school.

Cindy Anderson - Founder

Cindy believes everyone should have access to mental wellness services, and everyone can achieve a better quality of life. Cindy began her career specializing in children, adolescents and families, and advanced to geriatrics in the past 15 years. Her 30 years of experience in the social work field has spanned from counseling, medical social work and administration. She was named 2009 NASW New Mexico Social Worker of the Year for her work with the geriatric mentally ill population, and received the 2013 Zimmerman Community Service award from Rio Rancho Rotary Foundation.

Janis McGlone

Janis brings over 15 years experience working with older populations. Janis facilitates the PeopleWorks-NM Family Caregiver Support Group and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP). Janis' passion for seniors was Inspired by the care of her own mother before she died. Janis and her brothers cared for their mother and kept her engaged and happy in her home. Janis brings this philosophy to each senior, family and caregiver she works with. Employed as a Peace Corps Blind Mobility Instructor in Morocco, Africa, Janis is committed to peace and justice both personally and professionally.

Jenny Failla

Jenny has enjoyed a career as a professional clinical counselor for over 20 years. She has focused on teens, families, Parenting Skills and Parent support group, couples, and working with all individuals no matter their age, helping each achieve their best self. Through her own life and work, Jenny has learned the role trauma plays in all avenues of life and works through a trauma lens. Jenny reports that her greatest passion is helping her clients develop the tools they will need throughout their lifespan and then being told by the clients in later years that they continue to find success from utilizing those tools on their own.

John Love

John has been a licensed clinical social worker since 1997. He has worked extensively with Veterans in the areas of substance abuse, military trauma and mood disorders. For the past 12 years he has worked with the homeless Veteran population in residential treatment. John also has a background in pain management

Dr. Hammer has 22 years experience working with people in Assisted Living and Long Term Care. Her specialty is helping people at transition points in their life's that may include family, friends, jobs, retirement and community roles.

Has treated a wide variety of ages (15-80+), ethnic groups, LBGTQ and presenting problems. Tom relocated to New Mexico in 2019
