PLUS - Key Persons
Alex is a manager at PLUS where he works closely with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute advertising shoots around the country. His role includes helping to coordinate the pre-production process, developing schedules, working to prep testimonials for filming, and providing post-production logistical support to the PLUS in-house editing team.
Prior to joining PLUS in 2021, Alex spent two years managing the daily events schedule of a Cabinet Secretary in Congress, executing over 100 events both in Washington, D.C. and around the country involving Fortune 500 CEO's, foreign diplomats, and high-level politicians. Before this role, Alex spent two years as a high-level executive assistant to the chief communications officer of a large defense contractor.
Alex graduated from Florida State University with his bachelor's in political science and a minor in communications. He also holds a certificate in emergency management and homeland security.

Alexandra Mahoney is a manager at PLUS. Prior to joining PLUS, she worked in public policy for four years at a non-profit in Alexandria, VA. She also interned on Capitol Hill for U.S. Congressman Joe Crowley and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand in her Manhattan office.
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Alex currently resides in Washington, D.C. She earned her bachelor's in political science from Skidmore College.

Alma is an senior associate at PLUS where she provides research and media monitoring for clients. Before joining PLUS, Alma interned on Capitol Hill for Congressman Joe Wilson's office. Alma graduated from the University of Notre Dame, where she studied political science and business economics. Originally from the northern suburbs of Chicago, she now resides in Washington, D.C.
Prior to joining PLUS, Alyssa worked as a Marketing Promotions Specialist for a Healthcare News company. Alyssa is from Baltimore, MD and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Marketing and Risk Management and Insurance. She is a huge sports fan, and enjoys traveling home to Baltimore for Ravens and Orioles games.

Alyssa Koziarski is a director at PLUS where she serves on the digital team. Alyssa joined the PLUS team after working in political direct mail fundraising with over twenty-five congressional, senate, and gubernatorial political campaign clients. Before that, she worked in data and evaluation at a state-wide child abuse prevention agency in South Carolina.
Alyssa is from Murrells Inlet, SC, and is a graduate of Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC.

Amanda Maddox is a managing director at PLUS Communications. A professional communicator, Amanda has over a decade of experience developing and implementing strategic communications plans for senior members of Congress. Prior to joining PLUS, Amanda served as director of communications for former U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson of Georgia and the Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs. Amanda has also worked for three members of the U.S. House of Representatives and for former U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss of Georgia. Amanda is a native Georgian and graduated from the University of Georgia.

Avery joins PLUS Communications after serving as the Communications Director for a Texas State Senator. Avery is a Houston, TX native, and graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Journalism. Avery loves cooking, watching/playing sports, working out, and hanging out with friends and family. She has has a fraternal twin sister and is one of eight kids.

Brian Walsh is a partner at PLUS Communications. With more than 20 years of experience working in Washington D.C. and on some of the country's top political and public affairs campaigns, he is an expert at helping businesses, associations and other organizations across a variety of industries tell their story and meet their public policy goals. He provides strategic counsel, issue management, crisis communications and media relations services to Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, governments and non-profit organizations.
Prior to joining PLUS, Brian was a partner at a top D.C. public affairs firm and also worked on Capitol Hill for over 15 years including most recently as the chief communications strategist for U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), a member of the Senate GOP leadership team. Brian's work on Capitol Hill led then-editor of The Hotlin e and current NBC News Meet the Press host Chuck Todd to once write, Walsh "has an amazing ability to show supreme loyalty but in a very rational way. This guy will be a sought-after crisis PR guy." BuzzFeed has called Walsh one of Washington's "top communications-obsessed operatives for the Twitter age" and most recently, Business Insider named Walsh as one of the top crisis communications "fixers" in the country.
A New York native, Brian graduated from Bucknell University where he is a member of the board for the Bucknell Institute of Public Policy. He lives in Virginia with his wife and two children.

Brian Wanglin is a managing director at PLUS Communications. He manages public affairs campaigns and provides strategic advice that helps his clients achieve their crisis communications, reputation management, and public relations goals.
Prior to joining PLUS, Brian was an attorney at McGuireWoods in their White Collar and Government Investigations Department. In that capacity, he defended multinational corporations from government investigation, litigated complex commercial cases, and helped senior White House officials and members of Congress navigate complex ethics issues. Throughout his career, he has also worked for the Senate Judiciary Committee, FP1 Strategies, the Republican National Committee, the United States Court of Federal Claims, Parliament (UK), and Senator McCain's 2008 presidential campaign in various capacities.
He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, and a juris doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.

Brooke Gianopulos is an associate at PLUS Communications and she joined the team after participating in the 2023 summer fellowship program. In this role, she provides account support for a variety of clients. Before PLUS, Brooke interned for the Department of Homeland Security and the Placer County District Attorney's Office.
Brooke graduated from Texas Christian University with her bachelor's degree in political science and news and media studies with an emphasis in Middle East studies. A native of Northern California, she now resides in Virginia.
Brooke is a huge baseball fan and wouldn't exist without it as her parents met while working for the Oakland A's. She also won 3 rd place for a feature article in the state of Texas for her story about TCU baseball's head coach, Kirk Saarloos.

Caity Battey is a director at PLUS Communications, where she provides clients strategic communications and project management support.
Prior to joining PLUS, Caity spent eight years with the McCain Institute. There she worked closely with the Chief Operating Officer on the development and execution of strategic initiatives and oversaw a broad portfolio that included special projects, internal communications, student engagement, program and project management, and board administration.
Caity grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and has undergraduate degrees in Middle Eastern Studies and Sociology from Hood College as well as a graduate certificate in International Security Studies from the University of Arizona.

Cedric Bouey is a Senior Associate at Plus Communications. Cedric is joining the Digital team after working for two years in public affairs at Targeted Victory. Cedric has worked on nonprofit, Fortune 500, and advocate coalition clients while managing the 2023 summer cohort of interns of the corporate practice.
Moving to the DMV from Florida, Cedric attended the University of Central Florida as an undergrad. He moved to the DMV to complete his Georgetown University master's in integrated marketing communications.
Chandler Bair is a partner at PLUS Communications. Bair co-leads the firm's digital practice.
Bair brings over a decade of experience in communications, issue advocacy and digital strategy to her work with PLUS. She has deep experience in managing comprehensive online messaging campaigns, from organic engagement and online grassroots advocacy to advertising and optimization. Her client rosters have scaled from Fortune 500 companies to trade associations and issue campaigns.
Under her dedicated leadership, the Digital team and our clients have seen decisive wins, including the Campaign for Sustainable Rx Pricing's 2020 SABRE Award for Best in Associations and 2023 PRWeek Healthcare Award for Best In Public Affairs.
A proud South Carolinian, Bair is a graduate of Clemson University and a serious Clemson Tigers fan. She lives in Arlington, VA with her husband, Adam, daughter, Callan and pup Cooper.

Chloe Avellanet is a Public Affairs Associate at PLUS Communications, where she supports multiple client accounts with media monitoring, research, and writing.
Prior to joining PLUS, Chloe interned with Virginia Tech's School of Communication, serving as the Student Coordinator for Outreach and Engagement. Her main responsibility was assisting in the planning and promotion of the School of Communication's events.
Chloe graduated from Virginia Tech in May 2023 with a bachelor's degree in public relations and a minor in digital marketing strategy.
Chloe visits Montana every summer where her great uncle owns a ranch. There, she enjoys kayaking, white-water rafting, paddle boarding and hiking.
Chloe was a member of Virginia Tech's PRSSA chapter and served as their vice president and president her last two semesters of college.

Chris Bond is a managing director at PLUS Communications, a role to which he brings more than a decade of experience in high-stakes, high-profile electoral and issue battles.
Prior to joining PLUS, Chris was communications director for House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, where he helped produce victories in tough messaging fights on contentious issues like tax reform and trade. He led the crisis communications response following the 2017 shooting at a practice for the Congressional Baseball Game in which Scalise, then the House's third-ranking member, was gravely injured. He then worked closely with the Whip as he recovered to plan and carry out his dramatic return to public life more than three months after the attack.
Chris previously served as a senior spokesman and strategist for statewide political campaigns, national advocacy organizations and the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC).
He is a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans and a native of Suffolk County, New York. He and his wife, Katie, reside in Washington, D.C.
Chris Georgia is a partner at PLUS Communications. Georgia co-leads the firm's digital practice.
In his decade plus of political and public affairs work, Chris has led fundraising, campaigns and online ad placement for major candidates and organizations. He lends his keen eye for metrics and optimization, honed in his years as a political operative, to PLUS' issue-based work, resulting in cutting-edge collaborations with Morning Consult, trade associations and more.
In addition to serving PLUS' clients, Georgia leads the Digital team's testing practices. This rigorous testing regimen has culminated in groundbreaking use cases for our clients, including PLUS being the first in the industry to purchase YouTube Masthead inventory and leverage Hulu Live Sports.
Georgia grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and graduated from the University of Minnesota.

Cody Sanders is a senior director at PLUS Communications. Using his experience in fast-paced work environments both in the public and private sectors, Cody helps manage issue and advocacy campaigns for PLUS clients.
Prior to joining PLUS, Cody spent nearly four years serving at the White House, including a role with the National Security Council. Additionally, he has held positions as a defense contractor with Northrop Grumman and as an aide in the United States Senate. During his tenure at the White House, Cody worked alongside other aides to the President and staff at federal agencies to advance policy initiatives and produce messaging content that highlighted the administration's priorities and achievements. While at the National Security Council, he worked under the strategic engagement directorate, helping bolster national security through intelligence analysis and strategic communications.
Cody grew up in rural Alabama and graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor's in political science and a master's in public administration. He currently resides in Washington, D.C.
