Brendan Clarkson

Brendan is a Director in the firm's Advisory Team. Brendan has more than 25 years of experience in corporate lending and insolvency, working with businesses of all sizes, lenders, creditors and government bodies. Working across PKF's Leeds, London and Manchester offices, he provides debt advice to businesses in the North, helping them to secure funding from a wide range of lenders. He also applies his expertise to businesses facing financial distress and in need of practical insolvency advice, including assisting on business turnarounds. Brendan is well known in the credit management industry for his strong relationships and his ability to find commercial solutions to complex problems.

James Linton

James is an experienced insolvency and client services professional with over 10 years in the industry. After working in debt, credit and insolvency departments for major UK Banks, he then made the switch over to creditor and client services, where he has been for the last 5 years. Having worked with various organisations across multiple sectors in the UK, James is able to draw on his vast experience and large network of contacts to ensure the best possible outcome for creditors in respect of their insolvency related matters. James and his team provide a bespoke service, helping organisations - including credit managers, local authorities, debt purchasers and lawyers by assisting with lodging claims and proxy votes, offering expert advice, and providing representation at creditor meetings.

James Sleight

James is a director and head of our Leeds office. James is known for his pragmatic approach and specialises in making sense of complex scenarios often involving competing key stakeholders. He has wide industry experience covering technology, financial services, hospitality, food manufacturing, recycling and deceased insolvent estates. James is passionate about protecting businesses and reputations, ensuring financial distress is effectively managed with minimal disruption in a clear, practical and effective manner. He acts for company directors, lenders and regulatory institutions across Yorkshire and the North East, and in London, where he spent the first 15 years of his career. James is a licensed Insolvency Practitioner and Chartered Certified Accountant. He is a regular commentator on regional business issues and a speaker at industry events across Yorkshire.

John Twizell

John is highly respected for his practical approach and wide breadth of experience in working with key stakeholders and management teams to achieve optimum outcomes in difficult circumstances. John has over 40 years of dedicated restructuring and insolvency experience, dealing with stressed businesses across a wide range of industries. His areas of expertise extend to property and construction, agriculture and manufacturing. John also specialises in managing stakeholder expectations in litigious / contentious situations and assignments involving National Asset Management teams. John has recently won accolades for the handling of these cases, achieving returns to creditor significantly beyond expectations. John is a former Chartered Accountant and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner. He has also taken formal insolvency appointments in Jersey and Guernsey.

Oliver Collinge

Oliver is a director in our Leeds office and advises clients nationwide. Oliver focuses on resolving financial distress by improving cash flow, negotiating with creditors and other financial stakeholders, and raising additional finance. He works with management teams, lenders and investors across all sectors, and his clients value his empathetic approach and ability to provide clear, straightforward advice in complex situations. Oliver has over 20 years' experience, having previously worked at three major restructuring firms. A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a licensed Insolvency Practitioner, Oliver has undertaken assignments both nationally and internationally. During the credit crunch of 2008 / 9, he spent 15 months on secondment to a major clearing bank and he has carried out many assignments for funders with distressed clients, helping them to manage their risk.

Peter Hart

Peter is a director in our London office. Peter has undertaken numerous advisory assignments for a diverse range of clients and is highly regarded for his considered and proactive approach to the needs of stakeholders. With over 25 years' experience in restructuring and turnaround, Peter joined PKF GM from a leading independent advisory firm. He has worked on several high profile and complex investigative assignments across a variety of sectors, including financial services, commodity trading and forex/currency exchange. Peter is a licensed Insolvency Practitioner and sits on the IPA's Regulation and Conduct Committee. He is also an active member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3), where he sits on the London and South East Regional Committee.

Stephen Goderski

Stephen is a director and head of our London office. Based in London and the Home Counties, Stephen provides pragmatic advice and solutions to financially distressed business owners, lenders and investors. He is an expert in crisis stabilisation and has over 35 years' experience of identifying and addressing threats and challenges across a wide range of sectors. Working with people is key to Stephen's approach and he is focussed on ensuring that all stakeholders work towards the same goal on any given assignment. Stephen is a Fellow of both the Association of Business Recovery Professionals and the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA). He is a twice former Council member of the IPA and chaired its Membership & Authorisation Committee for seven years.

Stratford Hamilton

Stratford is a director in our London office. Stratford is a licensed Insolvency Practitioner a member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3) and the Fraud Advisory Panel He has spent over two decades undertaking personal and corporate insolvency appointments mainly associated with fraud and investigation. Stratford has over 20 years experience in insolvency assignments and has worked on and lead a number of investigation cases of property investment schemes as well as a high profile case of a solicitors practice. He works with creditor groups and government bodies in investigative cases pursuing claims in order to recover funds on behalf of creditors in insolvent estates. Stratford also has specialist expertise in the telecoms and property investment industries.
