Organized by university students, Purdue Space Day (PSD) is an one day educational outreach program which provides school students in grades 3-8 the opportunity to learn about STEM by participating in three age-appropriate activities with a space theme. The participants are divided into three separate age ranges: Grades 3-4; Grades 5-6 and Grades 7-8... Across the world, we need new energy sources, healthcare solutions, environmentally friendly technologies, and an end to terrorism. At Purdue, these are a few of the issues we face every day. Our engineering faculty, researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate students are making hydrogen fuel cells more efficient, helping fight AIDS in Africa, developing working evacuation-systems for natural disasters, and creating technologies to prevent and deal with possible terrorist attacks.
