Home improvements have been a part of the Raisanen family since the early 70s when Randy, the father, started a painting company in Minnesota. In 1984 he moved with his wife and family to Phoenix Valley to partner with another entrepreneur to start another home improvement business. They grew that business to approximately 150 employees, and then sold it in 1994.
Around the year 2000, some of his children had that burning desire for their own business, so just six days before 9/11 TraVek was opened by a partnership among Randy, his wife Sheryle, and some of their children.
