Carmen Maria Mitchell - Founder

Carmen is the Founder Redwood Theatre Company bringing original projects and social justice pieces to the community. Carmen Maria Mitchell is a Latina performing artist who's pronouns are she/her/hers. Carmen grew up as a competitive figure skater and ballet dancer. She now works as a professional singer and actor in both New York and California. Her body of artistic work includes many leading roles in musicals, short films, commercials and professional ice skating shows. Carmen is now the founder of the non-profit Redwood Theatre Company & Redwood Ice Theatre bringing professional productions and social justice pieces to the community. Carmen is also the co-founder of the media productions company FTA Productions (For The Art). Working alongside artists and bold brands to create cutting edge media content.

JACKIE DIAZ

Jackie Díaz is honored to be on staff with the amazing performers that make up RTC's staff. She is a vocal and drama major currently studying at the University of California, Irvine. She has been singing and acting for a little under ten years and has been in several musical theatre productions including Spring Awakening, In the Heights, and Shrek: The Musical. As a vocalist, she has performed at several Latinx festivals and events singing mariachi style music. She has also continued to develop her classical training through recitals as well as private instruction. She's been co-music director of her acapella group as well as UCI Chamber president while performing in shows and doing works of art with the RTC founder and other members of the dream team!

JOSEPH FAVALORA

Joseph Favalora is honored to be apart of RTC as the Chief Resident Choreographer. Joseph has been dancing since age four, and competitively since age six. He has won hundreds of awards for his skilled dance including: Mister Dance of New England, Junior Mr. Dance of America, and East Coast Junior Ballroom Champion. He has taught master classes in many venues including the Boston Conservatory of Music (the Modern Dance department) as well on the faculty of New Dance Group (NDG) of New York City. He is the recent recipient of two San Francisco Bay Area Theater Critic Circle Awards for excellence in choreography. Those shows included: Cinnabar's Fiddler on the Roof and 6th Street Playhouse's Thoroughly Modern Millie. His professional Broadway credits span 15 years and include, Beauty and the Beast, Cathy Rigby's Peter Pan, National Tour of Cats (Mr. Mistoffelees), and Baby John in the international tour of West Side Story. Joseph graduated with Highest Honors from Santa Rosa Junior College's Theatre Arts Program. He is driven by his life-long love of performing arts and his goal to one day create an original work that will be performed throughout the world.

KIM NAVARRO

Kim Navarro started skating at the age of three at Snoopy's Home Ice. Not long after, at the age of ten, she made her debut in the Charles M. Schulz professional Christmas show and had the unique opportunity to perform in these professional shows for many years to follow. She competed in Singles, Pairs, Ice Dance, and Synchronized Skating and earned her USFS Gold Medal in Moves in the Field, Freestyle, and Ice Dance. Kim Navarro is a Two-Time U.S. Bronze Medalists and Two-Time World Team member. She was a first alternate to the Olympics in 2010 and won the bronze medal at the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in 2008. As a professional skater, Kim has performed in numerous ice shows including Stars On Ice, Holiday On Ice, Broadway On Ice, Sun Valley On Ice, and Nancy Kerrigan's Halloween On Ice. She has performed with the Ice Theatre of New York and is a founding company member of Ice Dance International.

Madeline Brown

Madeline Brown is a trained ballet dancer and professional performing artist in Sonoma County. She has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from San Francisco State University. She is currently working for the City of Santa Rosa in the Office of Community Engagement.
