Noah is a self-taught musician of 10+ years and a humble convert to the School of Rock Method™. Beginning in a family of musicians and creatives, Noah was raised by his Hispanic, hippie mother and punk rock drummer dad, instilling a wide appreciation for all forms of art. Noah's first tastes of rock were the psychedelic pulsing of Jimi Hendrix while in utero. From then he maintained a passion for music, finding the trumpet playing in the school band. Simple orchestra tunes didn't satiate his thirst, however; Noah longed to play the music that inspired him. In the midst of the "there's an app for that" revolution, Noah began learning open chords utilizing free apps on the iPod market. When his resident church caught wind, they promptly placed the inexperienced young whippersnapper on stage for Sunday worship services. Noah was quickly formed by a journey of trial and error each week, eventually leading band rehearsals and Sunday performances. His life in music continued into college when he studied music technology and live performance at Brookdale Community College. Now, at School of Rock in East Brunswick, NJ, Noah teaches with a passion and understanding for creativity and the process of self-teaching, within the framework of the School of Rock Method™. Born Daniel James Aaberg, Danny James was born and raised in Oakland, California, and first earned recognition as a vocalist, keyboard player, and songwriter with the garage punk band, the Cuts, who released three albums for Birdman Records between 2003 and 2006. The respected L.A. indie label Burger Records offered to release a long-player from James' band, and in 2013 they issued the album, Pear, on cassette (they also ordered some test pressings on vinyl, but a proper LP release did not materialize at the time). After receiving strong reviews, the album was reissued by Burger in 2015 on LP and CD. When not occupied with music, James is part of the Two Over Ten Preservation Society, a group of Bay Area artists and creative minds dedicated to preserving methods, technologies, and ideals of the past. Whitney Webster

Job Titles:
  • Singing Teacher
Whitney Webster is a professional singer, actor, dancer, and teaching artist who is a lifelong believer in the transformative power of the arts. She provides voice lessons, performance coaching, (and a little Ellové Technique® conditioning thrown in for good measure). Whitney made her professional performing debut at the age of 11. Mindful of the importance of balance, she paused her performance career to pursue higher education with a BFA at Syracuse University and SU Abroad in London (at RADA and LAMDA) before taking a bite out of the Big Apple. Over the 30+ years that followed, Whitney has had the great fortune of appearing on Broadway and at Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall, gracing the stages of Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and touring the great theaters of North America, Europe, Japan, and Hong Kong. She is extremely grateful for the life experiences that have led her to her higher calling, teaching. Whitney believes that everyone is born with an innate need for creative self-expression. To that end, she has created a multi-disciplinary approach designed for each student's needs to address their whole well-being by devising customized lessons to empower each artist through joyful self-discovery and collaboration. Whitney strives to nurture the sum of each student's elements to train them as well-rounded artists with a rock-solid technical foundation, a little grit, and a whole lot of joy-seeking.
