Dongang Wang

Dongang Wang is a computer vision specialist at the Brain and Mind Centre and the Chief AI Engineer at the Sydney Neuroimaging Analysis Centre. With a background in the artificial intelligence and medical imaging analysis, Dongang has devoted himself to translational medical research and development applying novel deep learning techniques.

Dr. Chenyu (Tim) Wang - COO, Founder

Dr. Chenyu (Tim) Wang is a postdoctoral researcher at Brain and Mind Centre and the Director of Operations at Sydney Neuroimaging Analysis Centre. With a background in electronics & information engineering and neuroimaging, Dr. Wang has particular research interests in the development of novel MRI and electrophysiological biomarkers of myelin and axonal integrity in neurological disorders, particularly for sub-clinical disease progression.

Dr. Linda Ly

Dr Linda Ly joined SNAC in 2013, following completion of her postdoctoral studies, which focussed on the proteomic analysis of postmortem multiple sclerosis tissue. She completed her PhD in Biotechnology at the University of NSW, and postdoctoral research at the University of Sydney. Linda's expertise in neuropathology, and in particular the characterisation of MS tissue, has added a critical dimension to the SNAC team. In 2012, she shifted her research focus to neuroimaging, and is now responsible for the implementation of conventional/structural image analysis pipelines, and databasing, across the SNAC research portfolio.

Dr. Marinda Taha

Marinda started her research career in 1995 at the University of Witwatersrand and University of Johannesburg studying Academic and Clinical Trials Research. She acquired a PhD in 2000 in Midwifery and Neonatology from the University of Johannesburg. In 2009 Marinda joined the MS Clinical Trials Unit at the Brain and Mind Research Institute (University of Sydney) and became the Trial Coordinator in 2010. Marinda currently manages over ten clinical and investigator trials and is involved with the MS Research Australia Brain Bank.

Dr. Pradnya Dugal

Dr Pradnya Dugal is a dual radiology gold medallist. Dr Dugal trained through Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, and has fellowship experience at New York University and Thomas Jefferson University in the USA, particularly in cardiac and musculoskeletal imaging, as well as an interest in women's imaging.

Dr. Yael Barnett

Dr Yael Barnett is a specialist neuroradiologist and the Director of MRI at St Vincent's Hospital (Sydney). She undertook advanced training in Radiology at Royal North Shore Hospital (Sydney) and subsequently a speciality fellowship in Neuroradiology at the Brain and Mind Centre and Royal North Shore Hospital. Dr Barnett has particular interest and expertise in the imaging of multiple sclerosis, both from a clinical and translational research perspective.

Dr.Andy Shieh

Dr Andy Shieh leads the software development team at SNAC that develops and deploys medical imaging and AI technologies in the clinics. He completed his PhD at the University of Sydney focusing on innovative medical imaging algorithms. He has a strong background in computer science, mathematics, and physics.

Prof. Michael Barnett - COO

Prof. Michael Barnett is a consultant neurologist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Sydney, Professor in Neurology at the University of Sydney, and Director of the MS Society clinic and MS Clinical Trials Unit at the Brain and Mind Centre. He trained in neurology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and received further subspecialty training at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London. He subsequently completed a PhD in MS pathophysiology at the University of Sydney. Dr Barnett's current research focus is neuroimaging applications in MS, and in in 2012 he co-founded the Sydney Neuroimaging Analysis Centre. He is Director of the MS Research Australia Brain Bank, is a member of the Australian MS Clinical Trials Network Scientific Committee, and is a council member to the Nerve Research Foundation, University of Sydney.
