Jamshid "Jimmy" Soufian - CEO, Founder

Mr. Soufian is the Co-Founder and CEO of Sovereign Capital NYC. Jimmy's duties include providing oversight of its ongoing business operations and acquisitions. Separate from Sovereign, he is a private investor in other major Manhattan projects ranging from hotel developments, to office buildings, multi-family and larger assets. Mr. Soufian has served in such capacities for sourcing, principal investing and other visionary activities for several large scale projects since the mid-1990's. Prior to this, Mr. Soufian began his career as the co-founder of a ladies blouse and sportswear company named Chattanooga Manufacturing, Inc. Operating under the brands of "Jordan and Bob Mackie", his company became a major force in the garment industry. Jimmy graduated from the prestigious Ettefaq school in Tehran, Iran, and attended undergraduate studies at Baruch College while majoring in real estate development.

Kamil Homsi

Kamil is a seasoned executive and consummate global entrepreneur with over 30 years of valued client-centric experience in real estate investment services and capital markets. As Founder and CEO of the Global Realty Capital Investments Group (the on-shore arm of a Dubai/UAE global family office), Mr. Homsi is directly responsible for all transaction-centric cross-border deal structure duties. He is a dispute resolution specialist by trade with an extensive background in working with C-Suite executives, influential HNW families and financially accredited multi-national investors. Mr. Homsi focuses on identifying opportunities, qualifying potential partners, negotiating contracts, and further building engagements to closing. Prior to this, Kamil was the Founder and CEO of Amessian Consulting Group, an international consulting firm (offices located in New York and Hong Kong) advising joint ventures and foreign manufacturers seeking production in mainland, China. Kamil is a recognized speaker on the global platform. Mr. Homsi received his Master's Degree in International Business/Trade/Commerce from the University of Aleppo, Syria.

Michael Negari - EVP, Founder

Mr. Negari is the Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Sovereign Capital NYC. Michael's duties include sourcing, due-diligence, underwriting, financing, capital markets and asset management. Prior to Sovereign, Michael spent 11 years in the mergers and acquisitions sector. As an M&A Associate at Oberon Securities, he assisted corporate clients with their acquisitions, divestiture and capital raising efforts across a number of sectors as he led deal teams. Mr. Negari provided acquisition guidance to several mega and mid-market sized private equity firms within real estate and financial institutions. Prior to this, Michael was a Senior Associate at Duff & Phelps' Valuation Advisory Services group focused in M&A. Clients served include D.E. Shaw & Co., Fortress Investment Group LLC, Apollo Management L.P., Conversus Capital L.P., Newcastle Investment Corp., The Carlyle Group, among others. While pursuing and completing his MBA in Corporate Finance at Fordham University, Mr. Negari spent two years as an M&A Associate at David N. Deutsch & Co. (boutique investment bank). Prior to obtaining his MBA, Mr. Negari was a Financial Analyst within AIG's Global Investment Group managing $11.9Bn (AUM) with clientele including some of the largest global corporations.

Reuben Shiffman

Since joining Sovereign Capital NYC, Reuben's role has been paramount to the success of the firm from managing family office and High Net Worth Individual relationships with equity raising efforts, to investment analysis/due-diligence needs for the firm. Prior to Sovereign, Mr. Shiffman worked at Neon Liberty Capital Management, handling research duties for the fund's long-short investment focus in emerging markets. His analyses encompassed company write-ups and strategy, target brand positioning, performance returns, market shifts, and financial data reporting. Reuben studied with dual concentrations in Microeconomics and Business Management at Touro College, and Talmudic Law at Yeshivas Be'er Yitzchak.
