ST. FRANCIS PRE-SCHOOL

Our children enjoy a varied and active day, every day they attend Pre-School. The typical day has a familiar routine which includes morning register, snack time, lunch and group time, but is ever changing which keeps our little ones on their toes. We work carefully through the EYFS curriculum to make sure our children have plenty of opportunities to satisfy their curiosity through free play, whilst taking important first steps towards readiness for school. We set out a weekly theme which is shared with parents at the start of each term, enabling the important parental: Pre-School partnership. Areas of focus might include: cultural celebrations such as Chinese new year; nurturing ‘living eggs' where we look after chicken eggs through to hatching and the first few days of the chicks' lives; and children's books such as ‘We're going on a bear hunt' and 'Elmer'; and topic work such as 'Space'...
