Chris Campbell

Chris Campbell brings over 25 years of experience in office administration to Stark Engineering Consulting. She draws on her experience in a range of roles - account management, sales and purchasing, financial reporting - to continuously deliver accurate and personable accounting and administration services. Chris is the backbone of the accounts management at Stark EC. As we continue to grow, her eye for detail ensures that we continue to deliver value for money to our clients. Other than that, we are yet to discover what she can't do. Chris combines her work at Stark Engineering Consulting with administrative support to the Operation & Maintenance team for Sydney Water's Renewable Energy Generation (REG) portfolio. Embedded in P.E.T.'s team, she handles all things critical to keep things ticking over in the office. Prior to joining Stark EC, Chris spent two years working from Sydney Water's offices in support of the REG portfolio. Preceeding this Chris had a succesful career as Sales & Development manager at Mirvac Parking. Expertise Chris holds, amongst others, a Certificate in Bu​siness Management from Randwick TAFE. Additionally, she has the necessary skills to make a difference in business administration: integrity, accuracy and confidentiality. Chris has the expertise to adopt the adminstrative tools given to her as her own: MYOB, IBM's MAXIMO asset management package, or custom-made accounting packages.

Dario Menendez

Dario Menendez is a mechanical project engineer at Stark Engineering Consulting, combining field work with fundamental engineering. He has expertise in thermal engineering, energy analysis and sustainable design and a keen interest in automation and control. Dario's vision for the future of Australia's energy supply is a great match with Stark's expertise in renewable energy. Dario Menendez is a mechanical project engineer at Stark Engineering Consulting. He is right at home in a multidisciplinary engineering environment: always looking to apply his expertise and eye for detail where he can be of help and further honing his own expertise where possible - mechanical or otherwise. As a bachelor in physics as well as engineering, Dario has a passion in thermal engineering and energy analysis and a vision for Australia's future energy supply. That passion and vision has lead him to Stark EC, a guaranteed win-win outcome.

David Reynolds

David Reynolds is a Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years' experience in design and project engineering, research and product development. He commenced his career designing pressure vessels and heat exchangers before moving into the industrial power generation arena with Alstom Power. Having held a number of positions within the organization including Proposals Engineer, Lead Engineer and Principal Engineer, some of the highlights of his work in the area include the Worsley Multifuel Cogen Project in Western Australia, MOC Cracker Project in Thailand and Alcan Gove Boiler No. 6 in the Northern Territory. To pursue his passion for power generation and renewable energy, David obtained a PhD in Solar Thermal Energy systems, the results of which made a significant contribution to the development of the Compact Linear Fresnel Reflector collector technology, a patented technology that was subsequently adopted internationally by French nuclear energy giant AREVA. Following this he spent a number of years developing a patented solar thermal technology incorporating energy storage into a central receiver system. Amongst other things, he developed the thermo-hydrodynamic model for the technology, led the testing program and developed strategies for integrating the technology with existing conventional power plants. David has a wealth of experience across a broad range of areas that complements the skills and experience of the other members of the Stark team. He will primarily be engaged in design and analysis, although he is always keen to contribute in any way he can add value. Expertise Pressure equipment design

George Najarian

George Najarian is a Graduate Mechatronics Engineer at Stark. George started with Stark as an intern to work on upgrading existing HMI and SCADA systems for Stark clients. After graduation, George was promoted to Graduate Mechatronics Engineer where he works closely with Stark senior engineers to troubleshoot, fix, and design automation, control, AI and IoT solutions for Stark clients.

Koen Windey

Koen Windey is a director and co-owner of Stark Engineering Consulting. He is also an energetic design engineer who likes getting his hands dirty. Koen is our lead on everything that has to do with cogeneration plants and gas handling. He is also a highly skilled all-rounder, ready to take on any challenge that comes his way. Using his academic background, Koen has the capacity to quickly break problems down to their basic components. At the same time, Koen will use his years of experience as commissioning and maintenance engineer to probe solutions for their sustainability and practicality. At Stark EC, Koen divides his efforts between providing engineering and management guidance to the Sydney Water REG team, as well as developing new and expanding on existing business opportunities. He has been at the helm of some of our biggest successes with ongoing recognition from our customers. Prior to joining Stark EC, Koen has worked for WorleyParsons where he spent 7 years conceiving, designing, building and operating Sydney Water's renewable energy portfolio. Before moving to Australia, he spent 3 years honing his skills and learning from expert colleagues in Belgium's highly-respected nuclear engineering industry. Koen obtained a master degree in Mechanical Engineering and Energy Conversion, as well as Nuclear Engineering at the University of Leuven, one of Europe's oldest and most renowned universities. Peter Stark - Founder

Peter Stark is the founder and co-owner of Stark Engineering Consulting. In 2011, after years gaining valuable experience in some excellent design engineering firms, he set out to create a company based on the key principles of strong client relationships and valuing the people he works with. Peter is our lead on everything "water". His background as Chemical Engineering has led him to cooperate as design and commissioning engineer on a number of water treatment plants around Australia, such as: Harding Dam water treatment plant, South West Rocks water treatment plant and Lake Cathie tertiary treatment plant. He then went on to provide engineering and project management support on stormwater harvesting projects such as Gosford City Council's award winning projects at Terrigal CBD and Hylton Moore Park. As managing director at Stark EC, Peter sets, promotes and implements the company strategy. As senior engineer he provides engineering and management services to a number of our strategic clients. Before founding Stark Engineering Consulting, Peter worked for 9 years at WorleyParsons learning the value of thorough design and commissioning skills. Prior to this, Peter started his career at Queensland Nickel (QNI), following in his father's footsteps. Expertise Peter's particular area of expertise is in membrane water and wastewater treatment processes. Through his previous career Peter has been formally trained on the design of membrane treatment plants by a membrane manufacturer, as well as worked as lead design engineer, construction manager, commissioning manager, & operations and maintenance engineer for various plants throughout Australia. He has gained experience in water treatment, wastewater and tertiary treatment as well as newer membrane bioreactor plants. In the area of stormwater harvesting projects, Peter's skills include design but also managing project risk, in particular defining health and environmental requirements of these projects to meet current guidelines. Peter has significant experience as project manager as well as previously holding a role as operations manager. Peter understands the value of accurate accounting and tracking of a project as well as the importance of communication and stakeholder management.

Peter Vierboom

Peter Vierboom is a senior process engineer with Stark Engineering Consulting. With over 30 years practice in design and development, Peter loves an engineering challenge. Peter began his career as an electrical trades apprentice before moving on to completing his engineering degree. Most of his early working life was devoted to work around power station boilers, and in particular the development of plasma ignition technology.
