Charles R. "Chuck" Steele

Chuck Steele is a Harrison County native with 30 years of experience in the realms of personal injury/wrongful death, construction, product defect, insurance claims, and catastrophic industrial accidents. He has also litigated cases involving medical malpractice, aviation disasters, employment disputes, toxic torts, and contractual breaches. Chuck secured his Doctor of Jurisprudence at the West Virginia University College of Law and was admitted to the West Virginia State Bar in 1994. He is admitted in all courts, state and federal, in West Virginia. He also successfully passed the bar examinations offered by the states of North Carolina and South Carolina in 1992. After graduation, he began his law career as an attorney with Cozen O'Connor in Charlotte, North Carolina where he litigated cases involving structural failures, fires, and building defects. Chuck has tried to jury verdict over 70 cases in courtrooms throughout West Virginia. He has been recognized as a West Virginia Super Lawyer for 10 straight years which places him in the top 5% of attorneys in the state with that distinction. Chuck is a trained mediator in the state of West Virginia and a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals. He routinely lectures through West Virginia State Bar courses in the field of mediation and alternative dispute resolution. Chuck is currently a member of the Office of Disciplinary Council for the State Bar serving on its Hearing Committee.

Thomas G. "Tom" Steele

Tom is a lifetime Harrison County native with a extensive knowledge of personal injury, construction, mediation, and numerous other civil matters. Tom graduated from the West Virginia University College of Law, where he served as the Executive Editor of the Law Review. Tom was admitted to the West Virginia Bar in 1988 and has focused virtually the entirety of his career on trial work and other matters involving dispute resolution. He has tried nearly 100 civil trials to verdict during the course of his career. He has also completed basic and advanced mediation training, and has vast experience mediating a wide range of legal matters throughout West Virginia. He is highly sought after for his conflict resolution skills, and seeks to focus his future practice in the areas of mediation and arbitration. He has served as a frequent lecturer for the West Virginia State Bar in order to train others in the most effective mediation methods and techniques.
