Dr. Kishore is a co-founder and Managing Partner at Spruce Capital Partners. He has a distinguished track record of accomplishments in biotechnology research and development and business. After receiving a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the Indian Institute of Science, Dr. Kishore received postdoctoral training in chemistry and biology at the University of Texas at Austin. He then joined Monsanto, where he made contributions to the discovery of Roundup Ready technology and the synthesis of Aspartame. During his tenure at Monsanto, he was named a Distinguished Science Fellow and won the prestigious Queeny Award. Before moving to DuPont, he served as the President of Monsanto's Nutrition & Consumer Sector. He joined DuPont as the Chief Technology Officer of Agriculture & Nutrition. He retired from DuPont as Chief Biotechnology Officer to join Malaysian Life Science Capital Fund, as CEO and later co-founded Spruce Capital Partners. He serves on the board of several companies, academic institutions, and the advisory board of Scientific American. He's a recipient of Bio's Legacy Award, ASPB's Innovation Award.

Mr. Young is a Managing Partner and Co-founder of Spruce Capital Partners. Previously, he held the position of Managing Director at Burrill & Company; a diversified global financial services firm focused on the life sciences industry. Mr. Young has over eighteen years of experience in the biotechnology industry. His focus areas of investment cover agriculture, renewable energy, and chemicals, as well as biological tools and processes which promote sustainability. He has played a lead role in a number of venture capital financings and has been involved in the early formation of several portfolio companies. Mr. Young currently serves on the Boards of Agerpoint and Crop Enhancement as well as observes on the Boards of Greenlight Biosciences and Provivi. Before joining Burrill & Company, Mr. Young worked as a molecular biologist focused on protein expression at an early-stage biotech startup located in San Diego. Mr. Young received his BS in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego, and an MS in Biotechnology from Northwestern University.

He joined Burrill in 1998 and headed the development of the agriculture, food, nutraceuticals, and industrial biotech venture activities. He left Burrill in 2013 to co-found Spruce Capital Partners.
