James D. Turner

James D. Turner was born, raised and educated in the Sovereign-Milden area. James graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, College of Law in 1982 and articled in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Upon completion of Articles he was admitted to Practice by the Law Society of Saskatchewan. He continued practicing in Moose Jaw for a short time and then moved to Regina, Saskatchewan to work as a contract employee for the Civil Law Branch, Saskatchewan Justice in the areas of Land Titles matters. In 1987, he joined Morley Aseltine Q.C. in the Practice of Law in Rosetown, Saskatchewan and has practiced there since in several Partnerships over the years culminating in Skelton Turner Mescall. As well as conducting a busy general practice, Mr. Turner has also served on the Canada Pension Plan Appeals Board as a Hearings Officer and also with the Canadian Human Rights Commission where he conducted several hearings. From time to time he has presented programs as part of Public Legal Education and assisted local institutions in retirement planning seminars.

Justin Mescall

Justin Mescall grew up on a farm north of Rosetown. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Saskatchewan in 2005 and graduated from the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan in 2009. After articling with McKercher LLP in Saskatoon, Justin was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2010. In 2012, Justin began to work with Dale Skelton (now retired) and James Turner in Rosetown and formed the partnership Skelton Turner Mescall in 2013. Justin lives in Saskatoon and commutes to the office in Rosetown from Monday to Wednesday each week. Justin works from Saskatoon on Thursdays and Fridays all day or on other days by appointment where he offers mobile legal services within Saskatoon, Martensville, Warman, Delisle and Vanscoy at no additional cost. Justin has a general practice including real estate, estate and succession planning/administration, and corporate/commercial law.
