STOCCO HOMES - Key Persons

Dan Galbiati

Job Titles:
  • Operations Manager
I grew up in a family of trades, and as far as I can remember as a child, I was swinging a hammer or working on an engine. If there was something being built or fixed, I was always there most likely getting in the way. The skills I acquired growing up and my interest in building lead me to seek a career in carpentry where I started out working for several years as an Architectural millwork installer and learned the importance of producing a quality product and leaving a job completed to the highest standard. During these early years I earned my Red Seal ticket in Carpentry from Vancouver Island University which professionally was a goal I was determined to achieve. I joined Stocco Construction in 2013 as a Carpenter, which from my first day, I knew this was a company I wanted to have a long term relationship and grow with. After a couple years I was appointed to Lead Carpenter and took on the responsibility of overseeing and helping to grow the department. Approximately 2 years ago I was promoted to Operations Manager. I find this to be the most satisfying position and best fit, having constant contact with all our offices and field staff. It's a pleasure to speak with our clients and hear about the great things Stocco crews are doing.

Jeff Stocco, the son of Italian immigrants, built his first home, one of the very first homes in Westwood Plateau, Coquitlam, in 1989. Today, Stocco Construction is a 90 employee strong, vertically integrated company, which encompasses various divisions including restoration, environmental and homebuilding/large renovation divisions. Although being much larger now than in the beginning, the company still very much has a personal, family like feel. Stocco Construction supports Make a Wish and the Michael Cuccione Foundation. Jeff Stocco learned about attention to detail at an early age from his Father, a Shoemaker and Stone Mason from Northern Italy. Jeff learned about finishing and design from his Fathers experience as a Shoemaker and helped his Dad on projects as a Stone Mason's helper. Jeff built his first home in 1989 in Westwood Plateau, Coquitlam. In 1996 Jeff formed, Stocco Construction, together with his painter, the 2-man Restoration crew grew into a 90-person crew today. Jeff still recalls his first restoration contract on a stone house at 49th & Granville in Vancouver. His experience working along-side his Father, as a Mason's helper, paid off. Jeff believes in family values and supports community projects.
